Ch. 119

06-06 Three-Sizes

Deciding to save the discussion about the toilet for later, Jin had a sudden thought and invited the group into the Mansion.

First was the ground floor. Entering through the south-facing entrance led into an entrance hall. In the back were stairs leading to the basement and the second floor.

To the left of the stairs was a toilet, and to the right was the bathroom.

"The bath here is a hot spring," Jin explained.

Everyone tilted their heads in confusion. Apparently, the concept of a hot spring was not common in these parts.

"Well, if you dig deep enough into the ground, you can hit a well of hot water if you're lucky..."

"Ah, I see."

That explanation seemed to satisfy them somewhat.

Further to the right—on the east side of the Mansion—were the kitchen and the dining room. On the opposite side of the entrance hall were the workshop and the storehouse.

"I’d love to see your workshop, Jin," Reinhard said.

Since Elsa and Beena seemed to feel the same way, Jin decided to show them the workshop first.

The workshop was roughly the size of twenty tatami mats. A workbench that looked aged—though it was merely fashioned to appear so—immediately caught their eyes. Then there were the numerous tools that also appeared well-used (again, a deliberate choice), along with various materials lined up on the shelves.

"Hmm, this is magnificent. Or rather, I'm envious of how well-equipped this is."

"..."

While Reinhard voiced his admiration, Beena was left speechless.

Elsa looked around curiously, appearing as though she was being shown something rare even if she didn't quite grasp the details.

There, Jin voiced the idea that had come to mind.

"Um, I was thinking of showing you around the Mansion and its surroundings this morning, and then showing you the rest of the island in the afternoon."

"Mhm, sounds good to me," Reinhard agreed.

"The thing is, walking the whole way will be exhausting, so I’d like you to ride those golem horses from earlier. But you ladies are wearing skirts, right?"

Elsa was wearing a long skirt that reached below her knees, even if it was close to everyday wear. Beena was in her usual knee-length pleated skirt.

"So, if you’d like, I can make some riding pants for you as a gift."

When Jin said that, Beena jumped at the offer.

"Eh!? Jin, you can do needlework too?"

"No, well, if you ask if I can or can't, the answer is yes... but I'll be using Craft Magic this time, so I don't think you'd call it sewing."

With that, Jin pulled some leather from a shelf.

"Hm?! Is that magical beast leather by any chance?"

As expected, Reinhard identified the material immediately.

"Yeah. I thought this would be best."

"Best or not, isn't that a precious material? You can't even hunt a magical beast around here, can you?"

Jin thought just as I expected, but without letting it show on his face, he decided to bluff.

"Well, my Master had secured quite a lot of it."

He decided to use white leather for Elsa and crimson leather for Beena.

"Ah, Reiko, sorry, but could you measure the sizes for these two?"

Jin hesitated to do it himself.

"Yes, Father."

Reiko stared at the two with a blank expression for a moment.

"Understood. Elsa-san is 160 centimeters tall. Her measurements are 79, 54, and 80. Beena-san is 157 centimeters, measuring 78, 55, and 79."

"Eh..."

Beena was bewildered at having her height and other measurements she didn't even know herself suddenly announced. Elsa was looking over her own body with a look of Is that so?.

"Hey, Reiko, don't say those numbers so bluntly."

Jin was also at a loss for how to react.

As for Reinhard:

"I understand the height, but what are the numbers after that?" he asked.

"Yes. I want to know too," Elsa added.

"Me too, actually. I knew you guessed my height, but what do those other numbers mean?"

Jin, feeling a bit embarrassed, replied:

"They're the measurements for the bust, waist, and hips... I suppose."

The moment they heard that, Beena’s face turned beet red, and Elsa’s cheeks flushed as well.

"Wh-wh-wh-wh-wh... Jin, you pervert!"

"Jin-kun, you're lewd."

Being called that by both of them, Jin couldn't help but shout back.

"Is it my fault?!"

Apparently, it was his fault for ordering Reiko to measure them.

"Ugh, I'm not sure I'll ever understand..." Jin muttered as he began cutting the leather. For some reason, it was Reinhard who was impressed by the templates made of thin boards.

"I see! If you make a mold like that, you can make the same thing with only slight modifications!"

Judging from Reinhard's reaction, the concept of a template either didn't exist in this world where paper was precious, or it wasn't widely known. In the modern world, various products were made by combining templates and machine tools, though computer control had made the physical templates somewhat obsolete.

Regardless.

After cutting the magical beast leather, Jin shaped the pieces using the Craft Magic 'Joint'. He also made matching colored belts, and the garments were complete.

"Done."

Seeing him tailor two pairs of pants in just thirty minutes, the three were thoroughly impressed.

"Now then, take these... it'd be better to change in a separate room."

Jin led Elsa and Beena to the changing area of the bathroom, told them to change there, handed them the pants, and stepped outside.

"A present from Jin. Hehe."

Once they were alone, Beena hurriedly shed her skirt and pulled on the pants. Elsa simply changed in silence.

"Jin, how do I look?"

Beena, who had changed faster than Elsa, stepped out to show off her new look. They were made with enough room to be comfortable while following the lines of her body, but without being overly revealing, resulting in a Finish that exuded a healthy charm.

"Jin-kun, I put them on."

Elsa came out next, spinning around on the spot to show him.

"They're very easy to move in. Thank you."

She said it so simply that Beena panicked, realizing she hadn't said thank you yet.

"Ah, J-Jin, thank you! I'll treasure them!"

"I'm glad. They look great on both of you."

The three then returned to the workshop where Reinhard was waiting. He had been walking around, observing and touching various things, and looked far from bored.

"Oh, you were fast. You could have taken your time, you know."

"There's no way it would take that long," Elsa retorted flatly.
