Chapter Seven Hundred and Twenty-Six: World-building Introduction II

Battle Dome

The Battle Dome was a military and economic cooperative organization composed of the weak nations that Leo-kun and his group first encountered. In practice, it functioned much like the European Union.

Many of the species within this collective were unable to interbreed with Galactic Empire People. They operated various arenas, broadcasting the footage across the entire galaxy. Their strategic intent was to advertise their military prowess through these broadcasts while strengthening economic ties through trade.

Their primary enemies were the Pruon Nation, the Corpse Eaters, and the Pirate Guild. Most of these minor states had once fallen prey to the Pruon Nation. Salia eventually became the person in charge.

Since the first contact made by the Galactic Empire People was with the Kishin Nation and the Battle Dome, the relationship got off to a favorable start. Although resentment toward the Pruon Nation continued to smolder, Leo-kun’s efforts to bolster economic relations meant that most of these countries could no longer openly advocate for the Pruon Nation's extermination.

Currently, Chronos, the Latania Nation, and the Taikyoku Nation have joined the collective. It was no longer a mere gathering of weak states, but was evolving into an organization that decided the fate of the galaxy itself. This shift made it even more difficult for the smaller nations to demand the total extermination of the Pruon Nation.

While there were lingering complaints regarding King Leo, the fact that he defeated the Pruon Nation, purged the surrounding areas of Corpse Eaters, and transitioned the Pirate Guild into a legitimate industry led everyone except the most extreme hardliners to accept the status quo. The economy was of paramount importance.

Kishin Nation

The Kishin Nation was a country inhabited by a Warrior Race. They were racially Demons and served as the Combat Species for the Latarnians. It appeared they had parted ways with the Latania Nation for some unknown reason in the past. It was likely that the Latarnians simply could not tolerate the haphazard accounting style of the Kishinkoku People.

Due to that sloppy bookkeeping, their economy had been on the verge of total collapse. However, the Battle Dome was established based on a plan by Salia, who would later become their Great King. His strategy involved providing military protection for weak nations in exchange for them managing the Kishin Nation's economy.

The plan succeeded exactly as intended. Salia, who had no desire to stand at the top, initially left the role of chairman to someone else and lived a comfortable life as a manager. However, fate—and the people—would not allow that to last. Though he started as a manager, Salia was eventually forced to assume the position of chairman.

Under his leadership, the Kishin Nation’s economy recovered, and the surrounding weak nations were saved from the brink of extinction. Salia was highly regarded as the strongest leader in history. This reputation was built on his ability to restore the economy, deepen his friendship with King Leo, and forge successive alliances with major powers that his people had previously ignored. Salia often claimed, "I'm just an ordinary guy!" but he was an unmistakable monster of efficiency.

Most of the citizens were interested in nothing but fighting and were extremely vulnerable to scams. This was the source of the proverb: "Never borrow money from a Latarnian."

Currently, Leo-kun has introduced pro-wrestling, soccer, and Publicly Managed Gambling, which has significantly disrupted the daily lives of the citizens. However, because the economic scale was now on a completely different level, the system managed to function smoothly. Since Isono introduced vuvuzelas, smoke bombs, and fireworks, soccer matches became a chaotic spectacle. Furthermore, pro-wrestling was officially treated as a sacred divine ritual.

Pruon Nation

The Pruon Nation was an emerging state that might have achieved Galactic Supremacy had they not encountered Leo-kun. Physically, they resembled carnivorous slugs with limbs, or perhaps sea slugs. They were characterized by an arrogant and ferocious temperament.

They were monsters that sought to devour every other species, following the Proone Faith which justified their carnivory. While individuals were weak, their ability to multiply through asexual reproduction allowed them to deploy troops without any regard for casualties. They even practiced cannibalism, leading them to be feared as a nightmare-like species.

In reality, they were naturally herbivorous. Their aggressive frenzy was actually a result of prion abnormalities caused by a forced carnivorous diet that went against their biology. The brains of individuals past a certain age became sponge-like due to this disease. The Proone Faith itself was a product of the hallucinations caused by this collective madness.

Because of this instability, they committed the reckless act of defaulting on their debts to the Latarnians, which resulted in them being hunted to the brink of extinction. Although Leo-kun was able to rescue the children, the adults were wiped out entirely. The Pruon Nation as a political entity perished.

Currently, the Galactic Empire and Chronos are educating the surviving children on the history of that era from medical and economic perspectives. They were allowed to debate the subject without the interference of Propaganda. While many children harbored resentment toward the Galactic Empire People and the Latarnians, the general consensus was that the tragedy was unavoidable.

Although the Proone Faith was allowed to persist, there were mass renunciations. An endless stream of survivors instead converted to Buddhism, Shinto, or the Chronos Religion. Isaac, a survivor, initially resented Leo-kun, but through his scientific education, he came to understand that the Pruon Nation had been spiraling toward self-destruction.

Isaac’s performance at the military academy was exceptionally excellent. As a pilot, he even took second place in the All-Universe Tournament. His current view was one of quiet empathy: "So His Majesty Leo was just another scapegoat..."

Pirate Guild

The Pirate Guild was a criminal organization that spanned multiple nations. They engaged in piracy, prostitution, drug trafficking, and intelligence gathering—essentially any task for which there was a request. They came under Leo-kun’s umbrella following a mission to rescue the Taikyoku Nation Emperor Shi-yun, a feat led by the High-ranking Executive Lord Eyens.

Leo-kun forced them to abandon the drug trade, but he mitigated the loss by having pharmaceutical companies buy up the raw materials instead. He also gave strict orders to the prostitution and nightlife districts to "protect the merchandise," effectively transitioning the guild into a legitimate business while maintaining its original structure.

In truth, the market for illegal drugs was small and relatively unprofitable. Selling the raw materials to pharmaceutical companies resulted in higher overall gains. While a few defectors appeared among the lower-ranking pirates, most were satisfied because Leo-kun was notably casual about social status.

Old-fashioned pirates who used to collect tolls were integrated into the Vessel Escort Department of Amada Security. The onees in the pleasure quarters were now required to obtain business permits and undergo regular medical examinations. Despite some initial friction, the reception was generally positive. They obeyed Leo-kun as a Great Boss—a man who was the absolute strongest, yet understood the value of duty and humanity.

Magellan & Ozen

These were the neighboring countries of Chronos. The population consisted mostly of Chronos People and Latarnians. Although they had a large economic scale, their territorial reach was narrow. Combined, the two countries were larger than the Pruon Nation but smaller than Chronos.

They were devastated by a Locust Terrorist Attack and subsequently absorbed into Chronos through a merger. While the majority of the citizens were happy to be annexed, it was predicted that this would become a historical point of contention later. However, the region excelled in food production, controlling the supply of rice, wasabi, and nori—making it a territory that Leo-kun and the others could never let go of for personal reasons.

The territory was governed by Lady Claire through a Cheerful Rural-Type Dictatorship. Due to their passive national character, the majority of the people happily accepted this form of autocratic rule.

Repsitore Nation

This was a nation of Snake People. The males typically stood three meters tall, while the females were roughly one hundred and eighty centimeters. However, as interbreeding with Latarnians progressed, their average height began to decrease.

Despite possessing terrifyingly high intelligence and capability, the national character was defined by abnormal laziness and a cunning nature that was nonetheless weak to temptation. In practice, bribery and corruption were rampant, and the economy had been on the verge of collapse due to falsified accounting.

The national structure was a corporate dictatorship—a cyberpunk society where human life was considered extremely cheap. When Leo-kun interfered even slightly, the economy collapsed entirely. Karen-san, the daughter of Mike & Hammer Co., was left to clean up the aftermath.

While it currently operated under a presidential system, a full integration with Chronos was planned for the near future. A scenario was currently in motion for Karen-san to marry Leo-kun as a Queen, making the region a formal part of Chronos. Most of the citizens were grateful to Leo-kun for saving them from the food poisoning caused by the Corpse Eaters and the subsequent loss of employment; thus, the annexation enjoyed widespread support.

Although they had scales like snakes, they were biologically compatible with Galactic Empire People. Their culture was a blend of Fake Japan Culture, including Ninjas and Armored Rikishi, and California rolls were considered their soul food. The Ninja squads possessed high mobility and were assigned to the Imperial Guard Knight unit specifically to track Leo-kun whenever he indulged his habit of running away. These Ninjas referred to Leo-kun as their "Great Boss."
