Chapter Six Hundred and Fifty-Five: Character Introduction ③

Riko Sakazaki Kamishiro Chronos

She went by the nickname Rikochi. She was an eye-hidden girl.

While she initially claimed to be a mere background character, her popularity soared, and she was promoted to the position of Leo-kun's wife.

She was the daughter of a fairly respectable noble from the countryside. Although she was of Japanese descent, her hometown was steeped in Indian culture. Melissa’s biological mother hailed from the same region.

Rikochi was a practitioner of the ancient martial arts passed down in her homeland. In her village, it was customary to train at a dojo for an hour every morning and evening. She was a master of vicious weapons, specifically the urumi.

Because she was poor at precision marksmanship, her preferred tactic was to spray an overwhelming amount of lead using heavy weapons. When people thought of Rikochi, they thought of the Gatling gun. She frequently used armaments intended for helicopter mounts as personal weapons, though she never found this particularly strange. Before that, she had been known to fire light machine guns from the hip.

Perhaps because she wore full-body armor while on duty, many people mistook her for a man. While she was typically a quiet otaku girl, she shifted into the temperament of an action hero during work. Her motto was: Explosion, Muscle, Victory!

She ranked near the top of the overall power charts, even when compared against male fighters. As a girl, she was quite tall and possessed an excellent figure. Consequently, she unintentionally left a trail of heartbroken boys in her wake—youths who lamented that they had noticed her charms first—though Leo-kun remained entirely unaware of this. She had scorched the brains of many young men, leaving them to shed tears of blood.

Furthermore, Rikochi had never considered any of her male classmates as potential marriage partners from the beginning. To her, Leo-kun occupied the special category of "an otaku friend from the Manga Research Club who shared her tastes." She enjoyed both BL and yuri. Back when they lived together, the two of them spent their time fully immersed in manga, anime, and games.

Because she was too much of an action hero, she had lacked any traditional marriage prospects until she finally became Leo-kun's wife. While she wished to be a full-time housewife, that was an impossible dream given the chaos of Leo-kun’s life. Occasionally, she prepared biryani in large industrial cans, though when it came to curry, she remained a staunch supporter of Japanese-style home cooking.

She often claimed to have weak physical strength, but this was a blatant lie. Back at her family home, they kept an elephant.

Her exclusive machine was the Torments of the Forest of Sword Leaves, also known as Usapyon. It was an ultra-heavyweight, defensive humanoid fighter designed to protect relay machines. It was one of the most powerful units in existence, and even Leo-kun had no idea how to defeat it.

Tatiana

She was the third Jester.

She was a clone of a girl who had grown up in a colony-turned-slum and died after volunteering for the Zork War. Her mother had used the death benefits from the Galactic Empire Army Mutual Aid Association to bring her back as a clone. Tatiana herself was indignant about this, often shouting, "Are you stupid or something?!"

Initially, she was a quintessential slum dweller with a permanent slouch and terrible manners. She described herself as short, mean-eyed, and flat-chested. She used to eat like a dog and held her chopsticks with a clenched fist.

However, thanks to the Officer Academy Style education she received from Claire, her movements became graceful. Military training also helped her develop a healthier physique. Nowadays, everyone around her considered her a classic beauty, though she was the only one who failed to realize it.

She viewed the Original as a poor twin sister. She had no idea who the Original’s father was. The Original’s mother had been a prostitute, but she had since retired and married a non-commissioned officer of the Galactic Empire Army. While the Original had been ashamed of her mother, Tatiana simply viewed them as distant relatives and regularly sent money to the mother and her younger sisters. She still had no idea that her own salary had grown to an astronomical amount.

Despite her tragic past, she was open about her history, claiming there was no need to hide it. Those who had known the Original were shocked by how strong she had become. To Leo-kun and his peers, she was doted on as a cheeky, realistic little sister.

She was one of Leo-kun's wifey candidates. Since she adored him, she had no intention of refusing the position. Her strength and tenacious will to survive had captured the hearts of several high-ranking officials, including Thomas, Galactic Empire General Takakura, the King of Latarnia, and Piggett. They had all declared they would adopt her once she officially joined Leo-kun’s family, leading to a fierce tug-of-war over her.

She was a legendary Saint with a massive fan base spanning the entire outer galaxy. In reality, she was a bug character created by the shift in Claire’s destiny. This allowed her to use a powerful ESP known as Mimicry. She did not just copy the abilities of a General; she amplified them through exaggeration.

Her exclusive machine was the Saint of Endurance, also known as Lovely Cat. Her ESP allowed her to control floating batteries for massive volleys of fire. While the machine boasted an incredible number of attacks, it was a poor match for Leo-kun’s unit, which specialized in evading every single strike.

When she wasn't performing her duties as a Saint, she worked as a nurse in a hospital. Using the healing powers she copied from Leo-kun, she was regularly made to treat injuries as severe as bone fractures. She had already caught the attention of Kevin’s mentors, who were currently conspiring to train her into a full-fledged doctor.

One-oh-one Mendelevium

The Zork War reached its conclusion because she became the Zork Queen.

She was Tatiana’s partner and worked as a nurse and medic at the hospital. While she was doted on as everyone’s junior sister, she was most attached to Leo-kun. She had a habit of appearing out of nowhere whenever he started cooking. She was honest, cheerful, and bright.

She was an original species of female-type Zork discovered within the ruins. Along with Tatiana and Shiyun, she was treated as part of the younger sister group. As was typical for female-type Zorks, she had a large bust, but because of her childlike personality, no one viewed her as a romantic target yet. High-ranking military officers treated her like their own granddaughter.

There was a general consensus that she would eventually become one of Leo-kun’s wives, although nothing was officially settled. The prevailing mood was that since she had ended the war, there was simply no other logical outcome.

Her favorite thing in the world was Leo-kun’s cooking. Currently, she held her own territory as the Zork Queen. Because of this, Kevin was temporarily considered to be part of a branch family under One-oh-one. She had formed a band with Shiyun and Tatiana, though their skills were not yet at a level they could perform for others. She was very fond of Lou-chan, who was also a non-human.

Kawagon

A local UMA that appeared in Kawagishi Village.

In reality, it was Leo-kun, who had been forced to participate in a special forces mountain camp as a disciplinary measure. He was a mysterious entity who wore a snow-camo ghillie suit and tried to trade meat for potatoes.

Since then, the legend had evolved. He was promoted to the status of Space Kaiju Kawagon and steadily gained fame as the Pirate Guild Leader Kawagon, the Galactic Ninja Kawagon, and more. He was incredibly sensitive about carbohydrate stockpiles and had taken it upon himself to grow potatoes in bags within the gardens of the Chronos Palace.

Every winter, Kawagishi Village held the Kawagon Festival. The Kawagon Mimicry Contest was a massive success every year. Various products had been commercialized, including the Kawagon Ondo, Kawagon-yaki, Kawagon Soba, and Kawagon Jalapeno Tacos. Kawagon masks were also a huge hit. The Kawagon Set, a meal consisting of a potato tempura bowl and soba, was a staple of the festival.

Interestingly, Leo-kun had once been nearly captured during a mountain hunt for the creature. If the Zork War hadn't broken out, he was scheduled to be officially assigned to the Special Forces. On one of his breaks, Leo-kun entered a Kawagon Ukulele Contest, but he failed to make it past the preliminary rounds.
