Anyway, since it was decided that Electrone-san would stay until the end, she seemed genuinely happy—and for that, I was glad.
Despite her over-the-top personality, she didn't seem like a bad person. She understood boundaries, so I figured everything would be fine.
Right as that thought crossed my mind, Electrone-san's eyes lit up as if she’d just had a brilliant idea. She turned her gaze toward the empty air and flashed a double-peace sign.
"Outputting emotion... 'Yay! Bipolar God, are you watching? I got to greet Kaito-sama before you did! It’s a complete victory for Electrone-chan—!'"
"Wait, what? Huh? E-Eeeh!? What’s happening...?"
Her mood was sky-high as she spoke to someone who was likely an acquaintance. I couldn’t quite catch the name—it sounded like a strange, high-pitched electronic hum—but I assumed she was addressing a fellow World Creator. But mid-sentence, her upper body simply vanished. It looked as though that part of her had been physically erased from existence.
I stood there, frozen in shock at the sight of her disappearing, until a flicker of static-like noise rippled through the air. A moment later, she was back to normal.
"Outputting amazement... 'That’s just absurd. We’re in neighboring worlds, but to pinpoint-punch my face amidst such a crowd without damaging the space or even letting a single finger cross over...? And it hurt like hell... That Berserk Gorilla is as unreasonable as ever...' Adding supplemental note: The damage required several seconds to regenerate."
"...That’s what happens when you taunt her," Canalis-san said, her voice dripping with exasperation.
"Outputting emotion... 'Well, it’s only because she’s in such an enviable position over there.'" She spoke with genuine admiration for how someone could deliver such a lightning-fast blow while looking perfectly happy sipping black tea.
"If you don't learn some moderation, you won't be allowed to stay until the end of the party," Canalis-san warned.
"That would be most problematic. I shall desist."
Canalis-san had appeared by my side before I even realized it. While they seemed to have a friendly rapport, the fact that Electrone-san—who was presumably of the Almighty Class—spoke as if she'd be pulverized for pushing her luck suggested that the other World Creator was terrifyingly strong.
"...Um."
"Oh, Kaito-sama, please don't let it bother you. Electrone was just trying to get back at her for a previous hit by being a pest, and she got what she deserved... Good grief. Her entrance has brought the whole party to a standstill. Let’s get things moving again."
"Agreed. I cannot deny that this unit became overly excited and consumed too much time. For that, I offer my sincere apologies... Moving on, outputting greeting... 'Now then, Kaito-sama, I shall enjoy the festivities near Canalis. If there is anything I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask! Electronics, computers, cyber-tech—anything in those fields is my specialty, so please leave it to me!' And so, once again, may your future be blessed."
"Thank you. Please enjoy yourself too, Electrone-san... even if I'm not exactly the host here."
She was certainly a handful, but there was no doubt she was a good person at heart. Her mood swings were intense, but seeing her reflect on her behavior and apologize for going too far made me realize she was actually quite sensible. It was a relief.
Then again, while I was curious about this World Creator who had managed to punch her from another dimension, I decided it was best not to pry. The party was finally getting back to normal; the last thing I wanted was to cause another scene.
Serious-senpai: "Considering she went out of her way to taunt her and got punched for it, they really do seem like good friends."
