By the time we finished our shopping and stepped out of the store, the sun was high enough to signal that it was exactly lunchtime. I wasn't sure what Kaori-san and Akane-san planned to do next, but since we were all together, I decided to suggest a meal.
"It’s just about time for lunch. If you're all free, why don't we go grab something to eat together?"
"Oh, Kaito-kun! In that case... would you like to eat at my place? Akane-san, Frau-san, and I were planning to head back as soon as we finished here anyway, and I really want to thank you for the clothes you bought me. W–War King-sama, if you'd like to join us as well... Um, it's not a fancy restaurant or anything, but..."
"Hey, that sounds great," Megiddo-san replied, sounding genuinely interested. "I did say I’d stop by during Alcreasia’s Founding Anniversary Festival, so the timing is perfect. It’s otherworld cuisine, right? I'm looking forward to it."
Megiddo-san seemed eager to try the food at Kaori-san's shop. Since he was on board, I certainly had no reason to refuse. Kaori-san's cooking was delicious, and it was a much better prospect than wandering the city trying to find a decent spot using a guidebook.
I had already finished my own shopping, so as long as Megiddo-san was happy, I was more than satisfied with the plan.
"In that case, I'll use my teleportation magic to get us all there," Akane suggested.
"Hoh? You can move multiple people at once?" Megiddo-san asked. "How many can you take in one go?"
"Let's see... I reckon I can teleport about a hundred people at a time. It's the one thing I'm truly confident in."
"A hundred? Now that’s a feat," Megiddo-san noted with a nod of approval. "There aren't many even among the Count-class demons who can manage that. Impressive."
Teleportation magic was a highly sophisticated discipline where individual talent was very easy to see. The fact that Akane could transport a hundred people at once meant she was likely one of the most proficient users of the craft in the entire world.
As Megiddo-san stood there looking impressed, a question suddenly crossed my mind.
"By the way, Megiddo-san, who would you say is the best teleportation magic user in the world? Is it someone like Gluttony-san or Jutia-san?"
"Hmm? Well, those two are certainly top-tier. But if we're setting aside Shallow Vernal, Kuromueina, and the high-ranking Gods, it has to be Isis, doesn't it? Isis can teleport tens of thousands of people without breaking a sweat. Her magic power is in a different league entirely, and her technique is flawless. Shaltier can probably do it too—though she'd likely just give you some vague, cheeky answer if you asked her. She's capable of almost anything."
"I see..."
It made sense that Isis-san would excel at teleportation. In fact, she was undeniably world-class in almost every magical field. Megiddo-san had probably excluded the Gods because Chronoa-san, with her Authority over space, was considered a special case rather than a standard practitioner.
"Wait, hold on," Megiddo-san added as an afterthought. "Under those rules, wouldn't Canaris from your place be the absolute best?"
"Well, Canaris-san falls into the same category as Shiro-san and Eden-san, so we should probably exclude her too..."
If we were only counting those who truly resided in this world, then Canaris-san would indeed be at the pinnacle. However, given that she was an Almighty God, she was essentially an outlier.
Serious-senpai: "Nebula might be at the top too, provided the right conditions were met."
