After returning from that incredibly fun two-day, one-night bug-hunting trip in the countryside, I took a bath and collapsed straight into bed.

No—it wasn't just "someone." It was Rui Kuroki.
She was dressed in a white shirt and a dark brown pleated skirt.

Startled, I scrambled out of bed and recoiled against the wall.
"What do you mean 'why'? It’s because the track and field club has the day off today."
"That’s not what I meant! Why are you in my room first thing in the morning during summer vacation?!"
Rui continued the conversation as if her presence was the most natural thing in the world, leaving me with no choice but to call her out.
She had been in my room before I woke up once before, but I didn't think she'd pull that stunt during summer break, too.
"Don't tell me... did you come here to carry out that 'punishment' you mentioned?"
"Oh, stop. Calling it a punishment makes it sound so scandalous."
"You were the one who said it!"
"There, there. Come on, Ryouta-kun, calm down."
Rui tried to soothe me with a gentle tone.
Why was I being calmed down by a classmate who was currently trespassing?
"The punishment will be for another time♡"
"What are you planning to do? A whip? Are you going to pin me down?"

I had no idea.
Prompted by Rui, I picked up my charging smartphone.

"Airi made it because we’ll probably be hanging out together during summer break. The three of us already had a group, but you and Tanaka weren't in it."
