Rest made his way to the bathroom ahead of the others. After undressing in the changing room, he opened the door, only to be met by a thick, heavy billow of white steam.
Viola and Primula had sent word of their arrival in advance, so the servants must have taken the initiative to prepare it. It had been quite a while since he’d enjoyed a real bath. The one at the pioneer village had been a makeshift creation made with magic. It felt good to finally stretch his legs and soak properly.
Rest settled onto a bath chair and worked up a lather on a wet towel. Soap was a high-end luxury in this world, reserved for the wealthy.
This soap... the floral scent is so refined, he thought. He hadn't dwelled on it much before, but he wondered if this was another fragment of knowledge brought over by a reincarnated person.
He had recently met a man named Leonardo Gascoigne, who had explicitly called him a "reincarnated person" and hinted at the existence of others. Thinking about it now, the idea wasn't all that far-fetched. Between games like cards and chess and products like this soap, the world was littered with traces of Earth.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Rest."
"We're here."
As he mused over his thoughts, the door opened and the Rosemary sisters appeared. They wore thin bathing robes over their bare skin—a look that left very little to the imagination.
Rest felt a jolt of alarm. Both girls had always possessed figures that were impressive for their age, but lately, they seemed to have reached a new stage of development—particularly in the chest. They're sixteen now, he reminded himself. I suppose they're still in the middle of a growth spurt.
"Oh, you were already washing yourself?" Viola asked.
"Would you like some help?" Primula added.
"No... I just finished, so I'm good."
Rest made a hasty retreat into the tub.
"A pity," Viola sighed. "I was looking forward to scrubbing your back."
"Me too," Primula said. "I actually enjoy washing you, Rest."
"Have some mercy... don't tease me like that."
It was a bit late for modesty, perhaps, but in noble society, premarital relations were a serious taboo. Though he often shared a bed or a bath with the sisters, they had yet to cross that final line.
Don't underestimate a teenage boy’s urges, Rest thought. There's only so long I can go without pouncing...
"Well, once we're married, you won't have to hold back," Viola remarked.
"We just have to endure until graduation," Primula noted. "Though we're barely even attending classes anymore."
Technically, the three of them were still students at the Royal Academy. However, between the civil war and the frontier development, they had been away so long they were students in name only.
"We’ll have the wedding immediately after graduation," Viola said.
"I'm so excited. Should we start looking at dresses?"
"Now, Primula, don't get ahead of yourself. What if your measurements change before then?"
"Oh, right. I suppose I have to be careful not to gain weight."
As they chatted happily, the sisters shed their robes and began washing. Their firm, voluptuous figures were soon covered in white foam. Marriage after graduation... the reality of his future as a husband was finally starting to feel real.
I mean, they're my fiancées, so it’s only natural, he thought while watching them from the water. But still, having two such beautiful girls become my wives feels like a dream.
It had been nearly three years since they met. They grew more stunning by the day. I’m the one who gets to stay by their side and watch them grow, he thought. I really have to thank God for this.
"All done washing," Viola announced.
"It’s such a hassle to put those robes back on," Primula added.
"Let's just get in like this."
"I agree, Sister."
"Whoa!"
The two girls discarded their robes and slipped into the tub beside him, completely nude.
"The water is wonderful, Rest."
"Pardon me, Rest. I'll just sit right here."
Can I really hold out until the wedding? Rest wondered, his heart racing. Two more years of this...?
Even as he struggled to keep his baser instincts in check, he offered a silent prayer of gratitude for the incredible fortune he had been granted.
