Scrapped Material ②: April Fools' Extra Chapter, Part 2

The card game TBC was immensely popular in this world. After enduring Alice’s intense training, I had become reasonably proficient. In order to obtain the Six Kings cards, I had challenged Kuro to a duel.

To earn the right to challenge her, I had to win five consecutive matches. First was Noin-san, a user of an Equipment Beat deck who utilized numerous equipment magic cards to explosively buff her monsters. Next was Raz-san, a Fairy card user who flooded the field with monsters to trigger various cooperative effects. Then came Fia-sensei; her deck was packed with HP recovery effects, resulting in a grueling battle of attrition against her incredible durability. After her was Zwei-san, who used Magic Dolls that sealed the activation of my magic and traps whenever they attacked. Finally, there was Ein-san; aside from the fact that her deck was filled with cards featuring "Maid" in their names, her offense and defense were practically flawless.

After narrowly winning those five matches, I finally earned the right to challenge Kuro, one of the Six Kings. However, Kuro was so powerful that the previous five felt like infants by comparison. Her deck consisted mostly of magic cards that systematically neutralized every move I made. I had already resigned myself to defeat.

But in a shocking turn of events, the match ended in my victory due to her accidental self-destruction, and I finally obtained my first Six Kings card. Unfortunately, because I had defeated the previously unbeaten Kuro, I drew an overwhelming amount of public attention. Before I knew it, I was being funneled into challenging the rest of the Six Kings.

And now, I was facing the greatest crisis since I had started playing TBC.

"No... I don't want to..."

"U-Um, Isis-san? It’s just a card game, you know?"

"I don't... want to fight... Kaito."

"No, I mean, I get it, but..."

Isis-san was the next one I had decided to challenge after Kuro. When I first arrived at her castle, she had looked blissfully happy, but now she looked as though she were on the verge of tears. Apparently, she hated the idea of "opposing me" in any capacity. She was an angel, as always.

Naturally, I couldn't bring myself to force a match on her. After some thought, I proposed a compromise.

"Then... how about we just trade cards? Your card for mine?"

"Ah... Yes!"

That seemed to please her. Personally, I had wanted to win a proper battle and earn the card through the official rules, but Isis-san’s tears carried far more weight than my petty pride.

Well, I would just have to do my best to properly challenge the next Six King.

"I see. I understand what you wish to say, but it is impossible. There is no way I could hold such tiny cards."

"Right... I thought so."

"Therefore, I shall have you fight Fafnir in my stead. Naturally, if you are victorious, I shall present you with my card."

Since Magnawell-san was far too enormous to play TBC, I ended up facing Fafnir-san. He was a power player who utilized formidable Dragon Race cards, but I happened to have a special trump card specifically for dragons.

"It's my turn! I tribute two monsters to summon White Rose War Maiden Lilia from my hand!"

"Hmph..."

[White Rose War Maiden Lilia] Level 8 / ATK 2000 / DEF 1500 Effect: This card cannot be destroyed by battle. This card gains 800 ATK/DEF for each Dragon Race monster on the field. When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle, it can make a second attack in a row. While a Lunamaria or Sieglinde card is on the field, this card cannot be destroyed by magic, traps, or monster effects. When a Level 10 or higher monster is summoned, this card is changed to Defense Position until the End Phase, and its DEF becomes 0.

Lilia-san’s card possessed resistance to battle destruction and gained stats for every dragon on the field. Although it had a demerit when Level 10 or higher monsters appeared, its strength was exceptional for a card that required only two tributes.

"There are currently three Dragon Race monsters on the field! Therefore, her ATK is 4400! I attack Dread Dragon!"

"Kuh!?"

"Now Lilia-san's effect activates! Since she destroyed a monster in battle, she gets an extra attack!"

"Guh... Magnificent."

Thanks to Lilia-san’s card, I successfully defeated Fafnir-san and obtained Magnawell-san’s card. That meant I was halfway through the Six Kings. I just had to keep this momentum going.

"It is my turn. I activate the magic card Fruit of Fertility. With this, the Tree of Protection on my field can be treated as two tributes. I tribute the Tree of Protection and the Great Tree Spirit to summon... myself."

"So this is Liliwood-san's card..."

[World King Liliwood] Level 13 / ATK 3000 / DEF 5000 Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned. When this card is successfully summoned, it is automatically changed to Defense Position. This card can only be Special Summoned by tributing 3 Plant Race monsters on the field. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by other magic, traps, or monster effects and cannot be targeted by them. This card's DEF increases by half of the controller's current HP. During the End Phase, recover 1000 HP for each Plant Race monster on your field and deal 500 damage to your opponent. This damage cannot be negated. When this card leaves the field, if there is a Plant Race monster on your field, you can tribute that monster to return this card to the field.

Liliwood-san’s card didn't possess overwhelming offensive power, but its durability was staggering. Her deck focused on neutralizing attacks with high-DEF monsters while steadily regenerating her HP. Her current HP was 12,000, which meant her card’s DEF had soared to 11,000.

"Furthermore, I activate the magic card Seed of the World Tree from my hand. Since the Liliwood card is on my field, I generate as many World Tree Tokens as possible in Defense Position. The DEF of these tokens becomes equal to the DEF of the Liliwood card."

"Five monsters with 11,000 DEF..."

"Next, I activate the Continuous Magic cards, Domain of the Guardian God and Judgment of the Guardian God..."

[Domain of the Guardian God] Continuous Magic Effect: While you control 5 Defense Position monsters, the controller of this card takes no HP damage. This card cannot be destroyed as long as there are Defense Position monsters on your field.

[Judgment of the Guardian God] Continuous Magic Effect: While you control 5 Defense Position monsters, once per turn, destroy 1 card on your opponent's field. This card cannot be destroyed as long as there are Defense Position monsters on your field.

"By the effect of Judgment of the Guardian God, I destroy Kaito-san's monster. Turn end. During the End Phase, Liliwood's effect triggers. I have five Plant Race monsters, so I recover 5000 HP and deal 2500 damage to Kaito-san."

"Kuh..."

I took a massive hit to my life, and Liliwood-san’s HP only continued to climb. As a result, the DEF of her monsters rose even higher. I couldn't damage her directly because of the Domain of the Guardian God, and the Liliwood card itself was virtually invincible as long as she had plant monsters on the field.

However, I wasn't completely out of moves. My deck had a combo specifically designed to break this deadlock. I just didn't have the cards in my hand yet.

I had to bet everything on this draw!

"My turn... Draw! I activate the magic card Fragment of Hope from my hand! Since only my opponent controls monsters, I can draw two cards!"

"Strengthening your hand... however..."

Please, come to me... Yes!

"I activate the magic card Hero Summoning! This lets me Special Summon a Human Race card with 1000 or less ATK from my deck! I call forth... my own card!"

"Kaito-san's card... what kind of effect could it have?"

"By returning the Miyama Kaito card to my hand, I can Special Summon one monster from my hand, ignoring its summoning conditions! I call forth... Dragon King Magnawell!"

"What... Magnawell's card? Could it be!?"

Liliwood-san looked stunned as she realized my intent. Magnawell-san’s card was, in many ways, the natural enemy of her deck.

[Dragon King Magnawell] Level 13 / ATK 3000 / DEF 4000 Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card can only be Special Summoned by tributing 3 Dragon Race monsters. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by other magic, traps, or monster effects and cannot be targeted by them. This card can attack all monsters your opponent controls. When this card attacks, you may change the battle position of your opponent's monsters. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's attack. This card can attack the opponent player directly, but if it does, it cannot attack monsters that turn.

Magnawell-san’s card was a powerhouse of board control, but its most devastating ability was the power to freely change the battle positions of the opponent's monsters. Liliwood-san’s tokens had 0 ATK. While her main card was immune to monster effects, her tokens were not.

"But my HP is 17,000. Even if Domain of the Guardian God loses its effect, the battle damage will only be 12,000..."

"Next, I activate the Field Magic... Collapsing Fortress!"

[Collapsing Fortress] Field Magic Effect: Whenever a monster is destroyed by battle, its controller takes damage equal to that monster's DEF.

"Collapsing Fortress!? Kaito-san... don't tell me you read my deck?"

"I predicted you'd use a Plant Race deck. From what I saw in the previous five matches, plants are defined by high DEF and healing. I figured this would be a key card, so I added it to my deck right before our match."

"I see... truly impressive. It is my loss."

The DEF of the World Tree Tokens was tied to Liliwood-san’s HP. That meant the tokens had half her HP plus 5000 in DEF. Liliwood-san had no way to stop Magnawell’s onslaught.

That had been way too close. My remaining life was only 2000; I would have lost on the very next turn. The draw really had saved me.

Now, the remaining Six Kings were Megiddo-san and Alice. I had beaten Alice once at her store, but she had probably been holding back to teach me the ropes. I had a feeling both of them would be monsters.

"Hahaha! Good, Kaito! You're damn strong!"

"Megiddo-san, your power deck is the one that's terrifying."

As expected, Megiddo-san’s deck was an aggressive blitz focused on overwhelming monster cards. Many of his cards triggered effects during battle; if even a single hit got through, it was usually a one-shot kill. Because of that, I was playing a strictly defensive game, using cards to negate attacks and reduce battle damage to zero.

"Wait, Megiddo-san, you're in that form for this?"

"Yeah. I can't exactly hold cards in my usual form."

"Is that okay?"

"Yeah, I don't mind showing you this form. Why are you looking away, though?"

"N-No reason. I'm just... not sure where to look."

"Hmm? Well, whatever. It's my turn!"

Megiddo-san was battling me in his true form, which was different from both his usual appearance and his humanized form. Apparently, he hated this form and almost never showed it to anyone, but he didn't seem to mind if it was me.

"I tribute three Fire Race monsters on the field to summon my own card!"

"Here it comes..."

[War King Megiddo] Level 13 / ATK 4000 / DEF 3000 Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned. This card can only be Special Summoned by tributing 3 Fire Race monsters. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by other magic, traps, or monster effects and cannot be targeted by them. Every time this card battles, it gains 500 ATK/DEF. This card cannot attack if the opponent controls no monsters. During the End Phase of the turn this card was destroyed by battle, summon it from the Graveyard.

It was a powerful monster, certainly, but it felt a step below the other Six Kings cards. My gut told me he wasn't finished.

"Now, I banish Megiddo from the field to Special Summon my original card from the Extra Deck!"

"What!? That card is..."

"Be happy, Kaito! This is the strongest card in my deck, and one I've never summoned before! I guess that makes you special."

[True War King Megiddo] Level 13 / ATK 6000 / DEF 6000 Effect: This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing a card whose original name is War King Megiddo. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by any other card effects and cannot be targeted by them. This card cannot leave the field except by battle destruction or its own effect. When this card attacks, the opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects. This card negates the effects of the battling monster, ignoring its resistances. When this card destroys a monster, deal damage to the opponent equal to this card's ATK. If this card battles a card whose original name is Kuromueina or Miyama Kaito, it is banished without performing damage calculation.

This was insane. This was Megiddo-san's true trump card. It had massive resistance, sealed card activations during battle, and ignored all monster resistances to negate their effects. On top of that, destroying a monster meant taking 6000 damage to the face. These cheating effects were getting out of hand.

Its only real weakness was that it would be banished instantly if it fought my card or Kuro’s. There were only two cards in my entire deck that could actually touch it. Even Liliwood-san’s defensive card wouldn't be able to stop this.

"Here I come, Kaito!"

"I activate my trap! Forced Ceasefire Order! This ends your Battle Phase!"

"Ho, not bad. Ending the phase before I can even declare an attack? That's effective."

If Megiddo-san declared an attack, 6000 damage was a certainty. I had to survive this and find a way to summon my card or Kuro’s.

"Then I activate the Field Magic, Colosseum of the Strong. As long as this is active, Level 8 or lower monsters cannot attack. Turn end!"

"Guh..."

What a pain. That sealed off my option of a suicide charge with my own card. That left Kuro’s card, but it wasn't in my hand. I only had one card. Could I pull it?

"Draw!"

It wasn't Kuro’s card... but wait! I could do this!

"I summon my own card from my hand and activate its effect! By returning it to my hand, I can summon a monster unconditionally! I summon... General Store Owner Alice! Her effect lets me draw two cards!"

"You've got that look in your eye. You're planning something, aren't you? Fine, show me!"

"I banish Wheel of Fate from my Graveyard to activate its effect!"

"What!? A magic effect from the Graveyard?"

"Wheel of Fate lets me re-summon a Level 4 or lower monster that was summoned this turn!"

Thanks to the effect, my own card returned to the field. Every condition was met.

"I banish the Alice and Kaito cards from the field to Special Summon Heart of Bonds Alice from the Extra Deck!"

"What the... what is that card? I've never seen that in my life!"

[Heart of Bonds Alice] Level 13 / ATK 5000 / DEF 5000 Effect: This card can only be Special Summoned from the Extra Deck by banishing two cards whose original names are Alice and Miyama Kaito, provided both were summoned during the same turn. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by any other card effects and cannot be targeted by them. This card cannot leave the field except by battle destruction. By sending a monster from your deck to the Graveyard, this card gains its name and effects, ignoring resistances. This change is treated as its original name and can be used multiple times per turn. Stat increases from this effect are permanent. At the start of the turn after this card is destroyed by battle, re-summon the Alice and Miyama Kaito cards used for the summon.

Alice and I had made this card together. We had wondered what would happen if we both stroked a Blank Card at the same time. Alice had joked that nothing would happen, but this card had appeared. It was the strongest card in my deck.

"I send the Kuromueina card from my deck to the Graveyard to gain its name and effects! Battle!"

"Guh, my card is banished without damage calculation... but I haven't lost yet!"

"Yes, you have! Alice's effect can be used as many times as I want! I send the Sieglinde card to the Graveyard, giving Alice the ability to attack twice by halving her ATK! Direct attack!"

"Guwaaaaah!?"

By halving the ATK she gained from Kuro’s effect, Alice landed a finishing blow. I had won.

Ironically, Alice—the very card that defeated Megiddo-san—was my next opponent. She was my teacher; she knew all my strategies. This was going to be brutal. I expected a deck focused on massive deployment using the Phantasm King card.

"I'll activate a trap in response to your draw, Kaito-san. Your drawn card goes to the Graveyard."

"Kuh..."

"Fufufu, no matter how lucky your draws are, you can't do anything without a hand."

Was she really playing a Hand-destruction deck? She kept using effects to make me discard or mill my deck, preventing me from building a board. It was a grating, stressful strategy, yet it was undeniably effective.

"I activate Fragment of Hope's effect from the Graveyard..."

"Trap activation: Rite of Requiem. Effects from the Graveyard are negated."

"Guh, damn it..."

"Hey, Kaito-san? How does it feel? How does it feel to have all your turnaround cards shut down?"

"You bastard..."

I swear she was being even more annoying than usual.

"Is it turn end? Are you ending your turn? I'm going to win, you know?"

"I wonder about that."

"Huh?"

"Reverse card open: Preparation for a Turnaround!"

"Ugeh!? You had that set!?"

[Preparation for a Turnaround] Magic Card Effect: Can be activated if your HP is at least 3000 points lower than your opponent's. Draw 1 card for every 1000 points of the difference.

My HP was 1500, while hers was 5000. That was a 3500-point difference. I had been sitting on this card until she exhausted her counters.

"I draw three cards! Now I activate False Hope! I draw two more cards, but I have to discard my entire hand during the End Phase. Next, I activate Ancient Magic Reborn! I discard one card to bring Preparation for a Turnaround back to my hand and activate it again! Three more cards!"

"Wait, what...?"

"I activate Will of the Weak! I can Special Summon a monster with 1000 or less ATK from the Graveyard! Come forth, Wyvern! When Wyvern is Special Summoned, its effect lets me summon another from my deck. And that one lets me summon the third!"

"Three Wyverns? Don't tell me... you're calling that thing!?"

Wyvern was an incredibly weak card. Despite being Level 4, it had only 500 ATK. It even had a sad little line of text stating it wasn't a Dragon Race, but a Reptile Race. But when all three were gathered, they could summon the King of the Winged Dragons.

"I activate the magic card, Fusion Transformation! I fuse the three Wyverns to summon Tempest Dragon Nidhogg from the Extra Deck!"

[Tempest Dragon Nidhogg] Level 10 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2500 Effect: This card can only be Fusion Summoned by fusing 3 Wyverns. When this card is summoned, destroy all magic and traps on the opponent's field.

"Nidhogg... the special individual that was actually permitted into the Dragon Race. It's definitely leagues above a normal Wyvern, but with only 2500 ATK..."

"Next, I activate the magic card, Chained Great Beasts!"

"Ehhh!? Kaito-san, what kind of cheating luck is this!?"

[Chained Great Beasts] Quick-Play Magic Card Effect: Can be activated when a Level 10 or higher Fusion Monster is summoned properly. Special Summon a Fusion Monster with a different name but the same level and stats from the Extra Deck, ignoring summoning conditions.

"With this effect, I summon Earth Beast Behemoth from the Extra Deck!"

"Uwaaaah..."

[Earth Beast Behemoth] Level 10 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2500 Effect: This card can only be Fusion Summoned by fusing 3 Earth Attribute monsters. When this card is summoned, destroy all monsters on the opponent's field.

"Now, Behemoth and Nidhogg, direct attack!"

"Unyaaaaah!?"

Alice’s remaining HP was exactly 5000. Two direct attacks for 2500 each finished her. I had won. I had obtained every single Six Kings card. I was thrilled, but...

"Wait, why didn't you use the Phantasm King card!?"

"Eh? Oh, I didn't put it in my deck."

"You didn't put it in!?"

As expected of Alice, she completely defied my expectations. I thought for sure she'd use a Phantasm King swarm deck, not this miserable control deck. I felt oddly unfulfilled.

"Well, anyway, congratulations. You've officially defeated all of the Six Kings."

"Yeah... it was a long road, but I finally did it."

"Next up are the Supreme Gods of the God Realm!"

"What?"

"Be careful, though. When you challenge a Supreme God, it's not a five-match series. You have to beat their subordinates in 'Restricted Battles' first. You'll need to tune your deck."

"Wait, what...?"

"Oh, don't worry! Alice-chan has already told the whole world! Everyone knows Kaito-san, the man who crushed the Six Kings, is storming the God Realm to challenge the Creator God!"

"Wait, hold on!"

And just like that, my battle was far from over.

"The Restricted Battle to earn the right to challenge the God of Fate-sama is a tag match against me and the Love God duo! Now, Kaito, find yourself a partner."

"Shia-san? Forget earning rights, I haven't even stepped foot in the God Realm. This is my house. Why are you two waiting here?"

"Don't ask me. The God of Fate-sama said, 'I want to play with Kai-chan soon!' and ordered us to come..."

"You really have it rough, don't you?"

"So do you."

When I stepped outside after breakfast, Shia-san and Heart-san were already waiting. Fate-san had sent them. I knew it. I knew it, but apparently, my challenge to the God Realm was already a settled matter.

Well, whatever. It wasn't their fault. A tag match, huh? It was my first time, so I was nervous. I wanted a strong partner.

"Whoever... bullies Kaito... I will... crush them."

"Isis-san!?"

"Good morning... Kaito. I came... to help."

"T-Thank you so much."

She was a bit early, but I was definitely happy to see her. To be honest, her skill was an unknown. I hadn't played against her, so I had no idea what her deck was like. But seeing her so motivated was reassuring.

"Alright, Isis-san. Let's do this."

"Yes... I'll do my best."

The tag match against Shia-san and Heart-san began. We shared a field and a life pool of 8000. Cooperation was key since we could see each other's set cards. The turn order was me, Shia-san, Isis-san, and then Heart-san. I couldn't attack on the first turn, so I just set three monsters for a solid defense.

Then it was Shia-san’s turn.

"My turn. I activate All-out War of Despair from my hand. I summon Level 4 monsters from my deck equal to the number of monsters you control. Their ATK is halved, they can't be used for materials, and they must attack."

It was a powerful swarm card, but the drawbacks were heavy. Most Level 4 monsters had 2000 ATK at most, so halving that made them weak. Indeed, her monsters were all under 1000 ATK. Normally, they'd just be suicide-rushing, but with the right combo...

"I set a monster facedown. Battle Phase! I attack with three monsters, and at this moment, I activate a Quick-Play Magic!"

"Quick-Play!?"

"Merry Bad End!"

[Merry Bad End] Quick-Play Magic Effect: Can only be activated during the Battle Phase if both players control 3 or more monsters. Pay 1000 HP to destroy every card on the field.

"What? Everything’s gone!"

"Not yet! I'll activate a Quick-Play Magic from my hand, too! Miraculous Happy End!"

"Heart-san!?"

[Miraculous Happy End] Quick-Play Magic Effect: Can only be activated during the Battle Phase if 3 or more monsters on your field were destroyed by an effect. Pay 1000 HP to revive the destroyed monsters. The turn ends forcibly after the Battle Phase.

I’d been played. Since it was a tag match, Shia’s monsters were treated as Heart’s. Merry Bad End cleared my board, and Miraculous Happy End brought Shia’s monsters back. And they still hadn't finished their attacks.

"Direct attack with four monsters!"

"Guh..."

7500 damage. We were on the brink of defeat in a single turn.

"Isis-san, I'm sorry."

"No... it's okay."

"Once Miraculous Happy End triggers, my turn ends after the Battle Phase. Now, Death King, show us what you're made of."

It was Isis-san’s turn. Despite being pushed to the edge immediately, her expression was one of quiet, cold fury.

"How dare you... bully Kaito. I won't forgive you."

She drew a card with a sharp, fluid motion.

"Draw. I activate Ice Beast Golem. It generates Ice Statue Tokens equal to your monsters. I tribute three tokens to summon... myself."

"So fast... right away?"

[Death King Isis] Level 13 / ATK 3000 / DEF 3000 Effect: This card cannot be Normal Summoned. It can only be Special Summoned by tributing 3 Ice Race monsters. Your opponent cannot activate magic, traps, or monster effects in response to this card's summon. This card is unaffected by magic, traps, or monster effects and cannot be targeted by them. When summoned, add Unending Dream: Zepia, Cocytus Zero, and Cocytus Infinity to your hand. While this card is on the field, your opponent cannot respond to your magic card activations.

I had this card too, but I didn't have the three auxiliary cards, so I'd never used it. What did they do?

"By Isis's effect, I add the three cards. I activate Unending Dream: Zepia. I draw two and put one on the bottom of my deck."

It looked like draw support. A 1:1 trade.

"Next... I activate Cocytus Zero."

[Cocytus Zero] Magic Card Effect: Mill cards from the top of your deck until Cocytus Infinity is revealed.

"I only have one Cocytus Infinity... and I just put it at the bottom. So, I discard all 41 cards to the Graveyard."

"What are you thinking?"

Even Shia-san looked confused. She hadn't seen this coming. But her confusion quickly turned to terror.

"Now... Cocytus Infinity."

[Cocytus Infinity] Magic Card Effect: Can only be activated if drawn by Cocytus Zero. Deal 100 damage to the opponent for every card sent to the Graveyard to draw this. This damage cannot be negated or healed.

"That's 4100 damage."

"What!? Guah!?"

Incredible. She took half their life in one go. But they still had some left.

"A terrifying burn card... but we're still standing! And your deck is empty! If we survive this turn, you lose by default!"

"You... are mistaken."

"Huh?"

"My next turn? You won't... have another turn."

Isis-san spoke with chilling finality.

"I activate the magic card, Dream of the Dead: Dystopia."

[Dream of the Dead: Dystopia] Magic Card Effect: Can be activated if your Graveyard has 30+ cards. Shuffle your Graveyard back into your deck. During the End Phase, mill your entire deck.

"Next... Hero Summoning. Special Summon Kaito's card."

"No way..."

"By returning Kaito's card to my hand, I summon... another of my own cards."

"Aaaah..."

"And I add Unending Dream: Zepia, Cocytus Zero, and Cocytus Infinity to my hand again."

"Uwaaaaaa!?"

Another unblockable blast of burn damage. Isis-san was terrifying. She was a one-turn-kill burn specialist. If I had actually fought her, I probably would have been wiped out before I could even blink.

"Kaito... we won."

"Ah, yes! Thank you!"

I was basking in Isis-san’s sweet smile when I looked over at our opponents.

"Um, Senpai? It didn't even get to my turn. Why did you get wiped out so fast? Are you an idiot? You acted so smug and then got flattened in one turn. And you're No. 5 of the God Realm? Wow, I'm embarrassed to be your junior."

"U-U-Uwaaaaaaaaaaan!"

Shia-san ran away in tears. It was honestly a bit tragic.

Wyvern-senpai: "My time has finally come!"

Serious-senpai zero: "Hey, you lizard, don't get cocky. I'll turn you into a steak!"
