In the Northern Demon Realm, a grand church stood amidst a corner of the Land of Death. This sacred space had been built specifically for this day.
Lilliwood-san and Life-san had worked together to transform a section of the once-frozen wasteland. Now, flowers bloomed in profusion across the landscape, creating a breathtaking contrast against the distant icebergs. It was truly an incredible feat; I could already see this place becoming a popular tourist destination in the future.
The reason Lilliwood-san and the others had gone to such lengths was simple: it was the venue for my wedding with Isis-san.
Until recently, this region had been utterly devoid of life. Today, however, it was teeming. A crowd so vast it couldn't even fit inside the castle-sized church had gathered to witness the event. The marriage of one of the Six Kings was a monumental occasion, and I felt the weight of it in every nervous breath I took.
The ceremony I’d had with Kuro had been spectacular, too—though that one had been so intense it had literally rewritten a few laws of the universe. Compared to that, today felt relatively normal.
I didn't know every detail about the customs of this world, but there were distinct differences from the weddings on Earth. Perhaps the most notable was the lack of a ring exchange. Since polygamy was the norm and some men had over twenty wives, they would eventually run out of fingers. Furthermore, with such a diverse array of races, many people didn't possess human-shaped hands to begin with, making rings an impractical tradition.
While I was contemplating these cultural shifts, a knock at the door signaled that the preparations were complete.
Guided by the goddess Heart-san, I stood before the entrance. In any other wedding, a goddess of romance would be a guest of honor treated with the highest level of hospitality, but today she was strictly behind-the-scenes staff. With the Six Kings, the Three Kings of the Human Realm, the three Supreme Gods, the Creator God, and even the God of an Otherworld in attendance, Heart-san—a low-ranking god—seemed desperate to avoid entering the main hall.
Finally, the ceremony began. This world didn't follow the tradition of a bride being walked down the aisle by her father. Instead, the groom and bride entered through separate doors on opposite sides of the church simultaneously. They would meet in the center and walk toward the altar together, a ritual symbolizing two separate paths merging into one shared future.
As Heart-san opened my door, the opposite door swung wide to reveal Isis-san.
She wore a gown of white accented with touches of light blue and layered in intricate frills. It suited her perfectly. Even though I’d seen it during the fittings, I found myself breathless at the sight. Upon her own insistence, a crown of flowers rested atop her head, making her look even more ethereal and lovely.
I walked forward, mesmerized, until we met in the center of the church. I held out my hand, and Isis-san placed hers upon it. Together, our steps in perfect sync, we moved toward the altar.
The next part felt familiar. We were to swear our eternal love and exchange a kiss before ringing a massive bell at the back of the altar—our first joint task as a couple to signal our vows to the God of this world.
Of course, there was one minor complication...
"You have done well to come. Kaito Miyama, Isis Remnant... please, step before the altar."
Forget the bell; Shiro-san was already standing at the altar. She had personally volunteered to play the role of the priest. The irony of the Creator God acting as a cleric was almost overwhelming.
Once we reached her, Shiro-san nodded and began the service.
"On this auspicious day, Kaito Miyama and Isis Remnant shall become husband and wife."
She had boldly cut almost the entire script. I suppose the traditional opening involved giving thanks to the Creator God for making the world, and reading that aloud about herself would have been awkward.
"...Kaito Miyama."
"Ah, yes!"
"Do you take Isis Remnant as your wife, and do you vow to protect her, love her, and seek happiness together, no matter what hardships may lie ahead?"
"...I do."
Despite her brevity, Shiro-san carried an undeniable aura of divinity. Her flat, emotionless voice felt solemn and majestic in the quiet of the church. Having accepted my vow, she turned toward Isis-san.
"...Isis Remnant."
"...Yes."
"Do you take Kaito Miyama as your one and only husband for life, and do you vow to support him, love him, and walk toward the future by his side, even if the path is fraught with difficulty?"
"...I do."
Isis-san’s voice was steady and clear as she swore her love.
"The vows are made. Kaito Miyama, Isis Remnant... before those gathered here as witnesses, establish the proof that your love shall never fade."
"We will."
We turned to face each other. Since veils weren't part of the tradition here, I placed my hands directly on Isis-san’s shoulders.
"Isis... I love you. Please, stay by my side forever."
"...Kaito... You are my hope... my most beloved... From now on... and always... I want to be with you... showing you my smile."
We exchanged our final words of devotion and shared our vow of a kiss. We had kissed many times before, but today was special. This kiss felt as though it were being carved into my very soul.
"Now, both of you, ring the Bell of Love together as a report to the Creator God-sama, the God of this world."
"..."
She was standing right there. Still, I pushed the thought aside—that was just the way things went with her. Isis-san and I walked to the back of the altar and grasped the rope together. We shared a nod, then pulled with all our might.
The bell rang out, its tone rich and clear.
"That was a magnificent sound. Surely, the melody has reached the Creator God-sama... In fact, I heard it perfectly. It was actually a bit loud."
"Could you please stop adding strange ad-libs?"
I shook my head at Shiro-san’s sudden bout of airheadedness and took Isis-san’s hand again. We headed back toward the center aisle. All that remained was to show ourselves to the crowd waiting outside.
"Isis-san, excuse me for a moment."
"Eh? ...Oh!"
I executed my secret surprise: I scooped her up into a bridal carry. Isis-san was incredibly light; I barely even needed physical enhancement magic to hold her.
"Kaito... I'm so happy, but... are you okay? Am I not heavy?"
"You're as light as a feather, Isis-san. Besides, I'm a man, too... let me act the part of the cool husband for once."
"...Kaito is... always... cool... Don't let go... okay?"
"Never."
Isis-san’s momentary worry melted into a radiant, blissful smile. She wrapped her arms around my neck and clung to me tightly. Feeling her warmth, I walked toward the doors amidst the thunderous applause of the guests.
When we reached the entrance, the low-ranking gods opened the doors, and a deafening roar of cheers washed over us. Outside, as far as the eye could see, a sea of people had gathered to celebrate our union.
"Isis-san, do you hear them? The cheers?"
"...Yes... I can hear them... It's like a dream..."
"It isn't a dream. This is the reality we seized with our own hands."
"Yes!"
Vast numbers of people were shouting blessings, their faces full of smiles rather than fear. For Isis-san, this was the moment she had craved for an eternity.
"I promise you, Isis. I won't let this happiness fade. I'm going to make you even happier from here on out."
"...I will, too... I'll never let you regret marrying me... I'll make you happy... No... let's be happy together."
"Of course."
"Kaito... I love you... now and forever."
"I love you, too."
The first time I’d heard the words "Let's get married" was the day I met her. Back then, I never imagined it would actually happen. But standing here now, I knew one thing for certain: I was truly glad I had turned her words into reality.
As Isis-san waved to the crowd, she wore the expression I had always wanted to see—the smile of a happy bride, loved and blessed by all.
This wasn't the end. It was the beginning of a new chapter where we would continue to dream and move forward, side by side.

In this issue, we highlight Crystal City, located in the Northern Demon Realm. Situated on the edge of what was once known as the Land of Death, this city is ruled by the Death King, Isis Remnant-sama.
The city is world-famous for the Blue Crystal Flowers that bloom throughout its streets year-round. Isis Remnant-sama is widely known as the model for the blockbuster romance novel The Miracle of the Blue Flower, and she is beloved as the "Six Kings Symbolizing Love." It has become a popular tradition to gift Blue Crystal Flowers when confessing one's feelings, in hopes of sharing in the Death King's legendary luck in romance.
Her husband, Kaito Miyama-sama, is equally famous. The couple is known to visit Crystal City together frequently, and the superstition that seeing them walking side-by-side guarantees a happy romantic future has become a global phenomenon.
While some may feel intimidated by her status as one of the Six Kings, there is no need for concern. Alongside the Underworld King and the World King, the Death King is known as one of the kindest among the Six. So long as one is respectful, she will always respond to greetings with a gentle smile.
Crystal City is a truly magnificent place. We highly recommend paying it a visit.
In the years following the wedding, Isis eventually gained complete control over her Magic Power of Death. Between her unwavering devotion to her husband and the influence of the novels based on their lives, she became a symbol of romance itself. Like Lilliwood, she ruled her city with grace and became an object of deep affection and even worship.
As for Kaito, who achieved agelessness through the Blessing of the Creator God, the two remained so inseparable that they were forever known as the world's greatest couple.
