Major Character Introductions ①

This update serves as an introduction to the primary characters introduced thus far rather than a continuation of the main narrative.

While this section provides a deeper look into details touched upon in the story and includes some new information, it is not essential for understanding future events. Those who prefer to skip it may do so without concern.

Please note that these profiles reflect the status of the characters as of the end of Chapter Five, so be mindful of potential spoilers.

[Name] Orun Doura [Gender] Male [Age] 19 (Born June, Four Holy Era Year 610) [Appearance] Black hair, Lapis Lazuli Eyes. Height: 178cm, medium build. His right eye turned black while using 【Restoration: Quintuple】 or higher, and both eyes turned black during 【Culmination】. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: First Unit [Ability] 【■■■■】: Enabled various feats, such as perceiving mana and manipulating gravity. [Alias] Dragon Slayer / Hero of the Kingdom

[Overview] He was an atavism of the "King of Special Ability Users," the Fairy Tale Hero said to have defeated the Evil God several hundred years ago.

From early childhood, Orun possessed extraordinary learning and adaptation abilities, which caused those around him to view him with fear. Unable to endure their cold gazes and hostility, Orun eventually had a sealing magic—developed by his father—placed upon him.

At the age of nine, his village was attacked by the Cyclamen Cult led by Beria. Everyone in the village was slaughtered except for Orun and Oliver. The two survivors were subjected to 【Perception Alteration】, and their memories were rewritten to suit the Cult's agenda. Under this influence, Orun was indoctrinated into believing that conquering the Great Labyrinth of the South was his own lifelong dream.

Even after becoming an explorer, his innate talents remained sharp. He mastered both martial arts and magic to a high degree. However, his vital physical attributes and high-level attack magic were suppressed by the seal, which eventually led to him being expelled from the Hero Party on the grounds of incompetence.

Following his expulsion, he joined the Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky and was eventually appointed as a clan Executive. He achieved several feats that bolstered the clan’s rising reputation, including instructing rookies, making public the new magic 【Object Float】 and 【Stacking】, and winning the Martial Arts Tournament.

Furthermore, while the effects of 【Perception Alteration】 had driven him to prioritize supporting Oliver during his time in the Hero Party, his expulsion left him without a target to support, allowing him to act more freely than ever before.

As a result, in less than a year after being kicked out, he gained significant recognition at home and abroad through major contributions, such as soloing a Black Dragon, stabilizing the Hero’s rampage, neutralizing a Stampede, and helping repel the Empire's invasion.

Regarding combat, since he learned to modify his own sealing magic, he reached a top-tier level in close, mid, and long-range engagement. His experience as an Enchanter also allowed him to handle support roles flawlessly. With almost no exploitable weaknesses, he stood among the world's elite by the end of Chapter Five.

[Name] Sophia Claudel [Gender] Female [Age] 15 (Born December, Four Holy Era Year 614) [Appearance] Scarlet hair, Pink Eyes. Height: 145cm, petite. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: Twilight Moonbow [Ability] 【Psychokinesis】: Allowed her to exert physical force upon objects. [Alias] None

[Overview] Often called Sophie. She was an illegitimate child born to Count Claudel—ruler of the eastern city of Daluane—and a servant. Her mother died during childbirth, and she was raised within the Count Claudel House.

Sophia was treated poorly by Lady Claudel, who despised her existence, and was met with indifference by her father and older brother. In this hostile environment, her older sister Selma was the only one who doted on her; to Sophia, Selma was her only true family.

After Selma graduated from the Noble Academy and moved to Tsutrail to become an explorer, Lady Claudel’s treatment of Sophia escalated into physical and emotional abuse. Sophia spent her days suppressing her ego as much as possible to avoid drawing the woman's ire.

Upon learning of this, Selma took her away from the estate, moving her from Daluane to Tsutrail.

Having watched Lady Claudel constantly leverage the family name, Sophia was deeply moved by the sight of Selma being relied upon and respected for her own strength alone. Inspired by her sister, Sophia resolved to become an explorer.

During their first conquest of the 30th Floor, her life was targeted by Shion and the members of Amunzaas. To overcome the crisis, she refined her sensation of "influencing objects," which triggered the manifestation of her Ability.

Though naturally shy, she began to gain confidence through her friendships with Caroline and Logan, Orun’s instruction, and the steady progress they made through the Great Labyrinth by their own power.

As of the end of Chapter Five, Twilight Moonbow had reached the 61st Floor of the Great Labyrinth of the South. In combat, she ranked among the elite of A-Rank explorers. She specialized in mid-to-long-range combat using magic and her Ability; thanks to the expanded interpretation of her power, her detection capabilities rivaled those of an S-Rank explorer.

[Name] Logan Hayward [Gender] Male [Age] 15 (Born November, Four Holy Era Year 614) [Appearance] Golden hair, Purple Eyes. Height: 152cm, slightly slender. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: Twilight Moonbow [Ability] 【Shadow Manipulation】: Allowed him to manifest and control shadows. [Alias] None

[Overview] Often called Log. A peerless genius who, at the start of the story, was nearly consumed by his own arrogance. However, he re-evaluated his path through Guided Exploration and managed to avoid straying.

Born in a poor village, he felt a deep sense of gratitude toward the villagers whose financial support allowed him to become an explorer. He sent most of his monthly salary back to the village in the form of food and lifestyle magic tools.

While in the Regrif Territory, during a battle against Caroline’s siblings, Lueria and Frederick, he transformed his negative perception of himself as "nothing but a shadow" into a refined consciousness, manifesting his Ability.

In combat, he was already a match for S-Rank explorers. He grew into a versatile all-rounder capable of excelling in close, mid, and long-range combat as well as support, seamlessly switching between magic, spearmanship, and his Ability as the situation demanded.

[Name] Caroline Inglot [Gender] Female [Age] 14 (Born approx. March, Four Holy Era Year 615) [Appearance] Reddish-beige hair, Green Eyes. Height: 152cm, exceptionally curvaceous for her age. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: Twilight Moonbow [Ability] 【Self-Healing】: Could instantly heal any injury sustained to her own body. [Alias] None

[Overview] Often called Carol. A former subject of the Cyclamen Cult’s experiments. Following the battle between Orun and Beria ten years ago, the Cult intensified its research into Abilities. Caroline and her siblings were kidnapped because they possessed the potential to manifest 【Self-Healing】.

Subjected to inhumane treatment by the "Doctor" in charge of the research, Caroline eventually attempted suicide. However, her subconscious will to live manifested as the Ability 【Self-Healing】.

Once judged useless, she was intended to be disposed of by luring explorers to a Cult base, but she was rescued by Albert during the raid.

Her mother’s parting words—"Even if it's painful, if you keep smiling, a day will come when you think you are happy"—became her emotional pillar. As a result, she developed a habit of always wearing a smile and prioritizing the happiness of others over her own wellbeing.

Due to her past abuse, she became desensitized to pain and initially had little regard for her own physical safety. However, her interactions with kind individuals like Sophia, Logan, Orun, and Luna gradually began to change her perspective.

In combat, she ranked at the top of the A-Rank tier. Through the expanded interpretation of her Ability, she could recover from fatigue instantly, allowing her to maintain full-power combat indefinitely. Her physical abilities approached the level of world-class fighters like Fuuka and Orun, making her a match for S-Rank explorers in melee combat.

[Name] Luna Flockhart [Gender] Female [Age] 19 (Born October, Four Holy Era Year 610) [Appearance] Indigo hair, Indigo Eyes. Height: 155cm, slender. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: Twilight Moonbow [Ability] 【Seirei Command】: Allowed her to manipulate Seirei—a form of altered mana—at will. [Alias] Saint

[Overview] An orphan who became the adopted daughter of the president of the Flockhart Trading Company, one of the kingdom’s major firms. Originally intended as a pawn for a political marriage to strengthen ties with the lower nobility, the plan was scrapped when Marquis Forgas of Tsutrail took an interest in her status as a Special Ability User.

Under the Marquis’s direction, she formed the explorer party Golden Dawn with Orun and Oliver. She demonstrated immense talent, eventually reaching the 94th Floor alongside Derrick and Anneri, becoming a member of the new "Hero Party."

When she discovered Orun had been expelled without her knowledge, she considered leaving the party but was blocked by her adoptive father. Her attempts to rebuild the party failed due to heavy resistance from Anneri and Derrick, leading to a toxic atmosphere by the time of the Thanksgiving Festival.

The situation collapsed when the Flockhart Trading Company was dissolved following a scandal involving child kidnapping. With her teammates detained for rampaging in the city, she lost everything within a few days. After reuniting with Orun, she felt deep gratitude for the new home he provided in the Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky and resolved to follow him.

In combat, Orun described her as the best rearguard explorer he had ever met. She excelled in mid-to-long-range combat and support using a combination of magic and her Ability, and was capable of holding her own in close quarters when necessary.

[Name] Selma Claudel [Gender] Female [Age] 22 (Born July, Four Holy Era Year 607) [Appearance] Deep scarlet hair, Red Eyes. Height: 163cm, glamorous. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: First Unit [Ability] 【Telepathy】: Enabled silent communication with any chosen target. [Alias] Continent's Greatest Enchanter

[Overview] The eldest daughter of the Count Claudel House and ruler of Daluane. She doted on her half-sister, Sophia. She never felt at home in noble society, a feeling that intensified during her time at the Noble Academy. She often acted alongside her classmates Lucila and Loretta and graduated second in her class.

To distance herself from the nobility, she became an explorer and joined the Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky. Though her career started smoothly, she hit a wall upon reaching the Lower Floors. Following advice from her friend Luella to "grasp your own strengths and weaknesses," she pivoted to specialize entirely in support magic.

Her decision to assign roles to her party members based on their individual strengths served as the catalyst for the concept of "Roles" that spread through the clan and the city of Tsutrail. This, combined with her extraordinary skill, earned her the title "Continent's Greatest Enchanter."

By the end of Chapter Five, she was the only member of the clan, aside from Orun and Logan, to have mastered the 【Stacking】 technique. While her attack magic paled in comparison to other S-Rank explorers, her specialized support and Ability made her an indispensable asset in any Labyrinth conquest.

[Name] Rain Hagwell [Gender] Female [Age] 24 (Born April, Four Holy Era Year 605) [Appearance] Blue-black hair, Sky-blue eyes. Height: 145cm, looks like a young teenager. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: First Unit [Ability] None [Overview] The second daughter of the distinguished Hagwell family from the Hitia Duchy. A Singular Mage whose magic was 【Space Leap】. Raised in a household that worshipped magical talent, she was favored over her older sister from a young age. She enrolled in a magical academy at five, where she discovered her status as a Singular Mage.

Initially arrogant, she was thoroughly humbled after drawing the ire of Shion, who was also at the academy. Later, her parents were manipulated by the Cyclamen Cult; following their orders, Rain used her magic to trigger an incident that devastated Amunzaas.

In the aftermath, her older sister Teruche purged the entire Hagwell line, sparing only Rain. Sentenced to exile rather than death, Rain credited her survival to Teruche’s mercy and aspired to become a compassionate person like her. After wandering into the path of Albert during one of his vacations, she joined his journey and eventually his clan.

Despite being frequently underestimated due to her appearance, she silenced critics with her results. The clan members came to view her as a "reliable little big sister." Though she placed a self-imposed restriction on using her Singular Magic, her affinity for magic allowed her to wield all spells at a high level with great mobility and evasion.

[Name] Lucretia Otis [Gender] Female [Age] 19 (Born August, Four Holy Era Year 610) [Appearance] Golden hair, Green eyes. Height: 154cm, slender. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: First Unit [Ability] 【Mana Tracking】: Could trace the lingering remnants of spells to identify the caster and the activation point. [Alias] None

[Overview] Often called Lucre. The Healer of the First Unit. An instinct-driven mage with high aptitude for recovery magic, though she was initially hopeless with magical theory. She used to find studying magic tedious until a failed attempt to conquer the 93rd Floor resulted in the death of Albert.

Cursing her own inadequacy, she eventually recovered with Wilkes’s encouragement and began studying magic with renewed seriousness. By the start of the story, her understanding had deepened to the point where she could develop Original Magic. In combat, she functioned at an S-Rank level in recovery, attack, and support magic, always maintaining a surplus of mana to ensure she could heal the First Unit at a moment's notice.

[Name] Wilkes Sevary [Gender] Male [Age] 20 (Born February, Four Holy Era Year 609) [Appearance] Gray hair, Amber eyes. Height: 183cm, somewhat muscular. [Affiliation] Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky: First Unit [Ability] None [Alias] None

[Overview] Often called Wil. The Defender of the First Unit. A natural talent who could perform any task with ease, he grew up largely without hardship. After reaching adulthood, he became an explorer simply to earn easy money through his high physical ability.

He joined the Silver Rabbit of the Night Sky after being scouted by Albert. Though initially a slacker who resented the clan's rules, his core strength and talent—which Albert claimed could surpass even Warren’s—saw him promoted to the First Unit.

During the battle with the Black Dragon, he was nearly killed after failing to withstand an attack, only to be saved when Albert shielded him with his own life. Following Albert’s death, Wilkes dedicated himself to his late friend's dream of conquering the Great Labyrinth. He overhauled his combat style, shifting from an orthodox shield-bearer to a specialist who parried and deflected enemy strikes.

[Name] Fuuka Shinonome [Gender] Female [Age] 18 (Born August, Four Holy Era Year 611) [Appearance] Raven hair, Black eyes. Height: 160cm, slender. [Affiliation] Copper Afterglow [Ability] 【Future Sight】: Allowed her to see briefly into the future. [Alias] Sword Princess

[Overview] A transcendent compatible with the cursed blade Hakusa—a national treasure of Kyokutou—and an atavism of the "Sword Immortal" and "Princess Shrine Maiden." She was a survivor of the Kyokutou royalty. Her talent was so immense that by the time she mastered ki manipulation, no one in her country could defeat her except her master.

At age twelve, Kyokutou was torn apart by a civil war orchestrated by Philly. Her family was killed, and her vassals betrayed her, with only the Tendou house remaining loyal to help her escape. Upon fleeing to the Hitia Duchy, she came under the protection of Amunzaas.

The trauma of the war left her emotionally distant, but she began to recover through her interactions with Shion and others. Her compatibility with the Hakusa gave her a constitution that consumed massive amounts of energy, which, combined with Shion's feeding, resulted in a legendary appetite.

She was eventually tasked by Christopher of Amunzaas to monitor Orun and stop Oliver should he rampage. She headed to Tsutrail with Haruto, forming Copper Afterglow along the way. In combat, her 【Future Sight】 made her nearly impossible to hit. She was one of the world's strongest fighters, capable of neutralizing magic through her Ability and weapon while closing the distance to deliver devastating melee strikes.

[Name] Haruto Tendou [Gender] Male [Age] 25 (Born October, Four Holy Era Year 604) [Appearance] Dark brown hair, Black eyes. Height: 187cm, somewhat muscular. [Affiliation] Copper Afterglow [Ability] 【Bird's-eye Vision】: Could displace his point of view to any location. [Alias] None

[Overview] The eldest son of the Tendou house, a branch family serving the Shinonome royalty. Trained as a guardian since birth, he mastered ki manipulation at a young age. Though he initially questioned his purpose when Fuuka surpassed him in strength, her resilience during the civil war inspired him to dedicate his life to her as a loyal vassal.

After fleeing to the Hitia Duchy and eventually Tsutrail, he established Copper Afterglow. While he acted as the public leader, the clan's true authority rested with Fuuka. Haruto specialized in unarmed combat, using superior ki manipulation to create invisible armor or shatter enemy weapons from the inside. Though he preferred melee, he was proficient in magic and frequently used his Ability to cover Fuuka’s blind spots during their joint battles.

Thank you for reading until the end. This grew longer than expected, so I limited this list to the major explorers. I plan to introduce the non-explorer main characters in section ②. The update for Chapter Six might come sooner, so please look forward to it.
