As for the head, Jin wanted to consult Elsa first.
"How should we shape the face?"
"Mm, a slightly slender outline, please."
"Got it."
He could still make subtle adjustments at this stage. Using Forming, Jin went about shaping the overall facial structure.
He embedded magi-crystals imbued with the functions of the magic eye to act as eyes, and magic ears into the ears to pick up sound.
He also added an Analyze function to the mouth, enabling it to test food and detect poisons.
Naturally, as a special feature, he adjusted the primary control core so that it was capable of using Healing magic.
Her vocal tone was set to a mezzo-soprano, with a gentle, somewhat relaxed cadence.
Since Laojun possessed vast archives of baseline data on lady's maids and wet nurses, Jin left the editing, downloading, and Write In processes to it.
"All right, shall we attach the skin next?"
"Mm, leave it to me."
Elsa had already finished her preparations about ten minutes earlier.
Taking the prepared materials, she began fitting them into place.
Though not quite as fast as Jin, she worked with impressive speed.
The hair color was the usual green.
Even within the same green spectrum, varying the brightness, saturation, and hue could produce an entirely different impression.
This time, both brightness and saturation were kept low, with the hue shifted slightly toward yellow to give it a calm, subdued tone.
"Yeah, that's a nice color."
The eyes were green as well. With a faint yellowish tint, the shade resembled an apple green.
Elsa was entrusted with the clothing, including the undergarments.
Rather than Hourai Island's standard style, she based the outfit closely on the designs Jin had observed during his recent visit to the Klein Kingdom.
It was not an exact replica, as she incorporated a few subtle touches of her own.
"How does this look?"
After about fifteen minutes, Elsa finished her work.
"Yeah, looks great. Thanks."
"Mm."
Since it was right around noon, they decided to run the operational tests afterward. Jin and Elsa headed to the dining hall.
The entire Jin Family was gathered there, so Jin filled them in on the previous day's events over lunch.
"Oh, so that's how things are in the Klein Kingdom these days..."
Lishia listened with keen interest.
And when the topic shifted to Sion's advice...
"Yeah, absolutely, Jin. You really ought to take Elsa along with you from now on," Reinhard chimed in.
"...I guess you're right. In that case, I'd like to build a dedicated Doppel for Elsa. That's all well and good, but the question is how to handle her appearance."
"True. Knowing you, Jin, you wouldn't want her looks to stray too far from Elsa's actual appearance, right?"
"Bullseye."
Jin explained that he wanted to keep the disguise simple, changing only her hair color and having her wear glasses.
"...Mm, that makes sense on both counts."
Elsa seemed completely on board.
"Well, of course. If a Magi Craft Meister goes around calling himself Jin Nidou, brings Reiko-chan along, and happens to have a companion named Elsa... whose appearance features blonde hair and light-blue eyes, people are bound to get suspicious."
"Right? That's why I'd like Elsa's Doppel to have black or dark brown hair, and to wear non-prescription glasses."
At that point, Jin needlessly added, "Not that I have a glasses thing myself, mind you."
"Then there's the name. As you'd expect, if I go by Jin Nidou and introduce Elsa as my wife, it'd just be a bit too on the nose."
"Though I might still slip up and call her that by accident," Jin added.
"Hmm, in that case, why not call her by Elsa's grant-name, Razura?" Reinhard suggested.
"I'm not really used to saying that, though..." Jin hesitated.
"Then how about shortening it to El?"
"Hmm..."
The name Elsa was already so short that it had never been difficult to say, so he had never used a nickname for her before.
"What do you think, Elsa?"
Troubled, Jin took the drastic measure of asking the person herself.
"Going with a completely different name... feels like it might lead to mix-ups."
"True enough."
Elsa admitted she had no strong preference either.
"Um, if I may offer my humble opinion, in situations like this, I believe it is best to choose something that won't sound unnatural even if you make a slip of the tongue," Berche spoke up.
"In other words, something like Elsa or Erna."
"I see..."
That certainly made sense, and Jin and the others nodded in agreement.
"In that case, Elsa sounds a bit too close, so Erna might be better."
"Mm, I think so too."
Elsa felt there would be little awkwardness with that.
"Then let's go with Erna instead of Elsa."
"Mm."
And so, the name for Elsa's Doppel was decided as Erna.
After lunch, Jin set to work completing the commissioned wet nurse automata.
That said, all that remained were the operational checks.
He intended to let the client name her.
"Wake up."
"Yes, Creator."
The automata sat up.
Jin ran through the usual "How are your conditions?" self-diagnostic routine. Once he verified there were no issues, he had the Five-Color Golem Maids inspect her as well.
Though the current Jin did not recall it, they had once cared for Jin and Elsa's children in the past. Thus, they possessed practical experience as wet nurses alongside their extensive background as lady's maids.
They were the ideal candidates for the final check.
"Master, there are absolutely no problems."
Perido Leader, head of domestic affairs, reported.
"I see. Good, that finishes it....Stop."
Jin temporarily placed her on standby.
"That takes care of the commission. Next up is Elsa's dedicated Doppel."
It was only 1:30 in the afternoon. Even without accounting for time differences, it was still far too early to return to the Klein Kingdom.
Jin moved right on to building Elsa's dedicated Doppel, Erna.
Since the base for the Doppel was already prepared, completing the core body took a mere fifteen minutes.
All that was left was customizing the exterior appearance and the control mechanisms.
Both would be tailored to Elsa's preferences.
Jin decided to start with the exterior appearance first.
