After the two departed, the elephant evil god Girimehkala and three executives of his faction appeared without a sound.
One hovered in midair, another stood upside down on a branch of a nearby massive tree, and the third sat cross-legged atop a boulder.
Every single one of them wore a demonic expression of pure fury. Beside them knelt Flame Spirit King Ifrit and Earth Spirit King Titan, their bodies trembling faintly with wrath.
"Treading with filthy feet upon the land ruled by our great Great One, and scheming to raid a village on top of it... In a sense, this may be the first time anyone has made such fools of us."
A completely pitch-black, faceless entity bearing a crimson circular weapon on his back crossed his arms, squeezing out words that shook with rage.
"And by such insignificant water fleas, no less. Everyone, can you forgive this?"
A pure white humanoid figure floating in midair cast a bloodshot gaze around at the others, demanding their stance.
"Nay, absolutely not! They cannot be forgiven!"
A bare-chested man with eight eyes, sitting cross-legged as if upon a throne, let out a roar that seemed ready to tear through the air.
"We are in the midst of the Supreme Great One's game. Even within my barrier, the enemy ranks include an Evil Army General. Refrain from rash actions."
Though Girimehkala spoke as if to admonish them, his three eyes were dyed a stark, blazing crimson, and a dense black aura continually billowed into the sky above. Seeing their master on the verge of detonating at any second, Ifrit and Titan swallowed hard.
"Girimehkala, shall I inform you how you look to an onlooker right now?"
The white humanoid mass pointed this out in a dry, somewhat exasperated tone.
Girimehkala checked his posture and swiftly quelled the aura that was warping the atmosphere.
"Forgive me. It slipped out..."
He lowered his head slightly in an apology.
"Just to confirm: 'Intruders into this land must never be eliminated.' That is the divine word of our Supreme Great One, is it not?"
"Indeed it is. Otherwise, there is no way we would have ever permitted the intrusion of that fledgling angel."
Girimehkala set his jaw and spoke with absolute certainty.
"Does our Great One truly intend to use that Evil Army General to start a game?"
"Yes. To that Great One, even an Evil Army General is, in the end, nothing more than a piece in this ordeal's game."
"As expected of the god we revere! The likes of us could never hope to comprehend his thoughts or his logic!"
At the faceless entity's impassioned praise, Girimehkala rested his hands on his hips and added,
"That goes without saying. That is precisely why we must act strictly according to his instructions."
"However, their act of spitting upon our Great One remains unforgivable!"
When the eight-eyed monster raised his voice, Girimehkala countered,
"We are merely restrained for the duration of this game. Beyond that, we have received no instructions whatsoever."
"In that case..."
"Indeed. It means we may do as we please."
The corners of Girimehkala's mouth curled back all the way to his ears.
"We shall never let Beelzebub have them. On the pride of our Evil Wickedness, let us inflict eternal agony and terror upon their souls!"
When the white humanoid mass sought agreement, the others responded instantly.
"That was my intention from the start!"
"Seconded!"
Both the eight-eyed monster and the faceless entity gave immediate assent.
Girimehkala threw his arms wide and looked up to the heavens.
"Now, let the ordeal begin! We make our move as well!"
And with that, he declared the start of what could only be described as the most horrific game imaginable.
