"So that's the monster city."
Ramiel, a high angel with pure white wings sprouting from her back, gazed upon the monster city sprawling before her with conflicted feelings.
Ordered by Chief God Ares to investigate this land, she had finally reached her destination.
Monsters were originally a race created on a whim by the kin of lesser gods—evil gods, wicked gods, and beast gods. In other words, they were natural enemies to Ramiel and her kind; stepping foot here was tantamount to infiltrating enemy territory.
"I'm not thrilled about this, but it's for Lord Ares's sake. I just have to see it through."
It was only a petty squabble between monsters and the demon race anyway. From the perspective of high angels like Ramiel, the so-called powerhouses of the lower realm were entirely insignificant. Quite literally, they operated on completely different standards of strength. Even mighty dragon species or spirits were nothing more than roadside ants that Ramiel and her peers could crush underfoot while humming a cheerful tune.
Lord Ares had simply grown exceedingly nervous ever since the raid by multiple gods. He was just being overly cautious.
Now that the Heavenly Army was mobilizing in earnest to subjugate that vile Fly God, it would surely be disposed of in short order.
Ramiel's mission was merely to dispel her master's trivial anxieties regarding the lower realm. Once she reported back that there was nothing here but small fry, he would undoubtedly be put at ease.
"For the sake of our beloved god, I shall surely return with glad tidings!"
Declaring this with firm resolve, she pressed both hands over her heart and set off toward the monster city.
In Ramiel's eyes, the lower realm was populated entirely by weaklings. She was thoroughly steeped in that assumption. Since mortals of the lower realm could never triumph over gods, under normal circumstances her conviction would be entirely justified. However, through the handiwork of a single monster, the world of Lemuria had undergone a massive Transmutation.
Stationed in this land were two generals, three lieutenant generals, and scores of officers from the Evil Army. This force alone possessed enough raw power to potentially wipe out the main vanguard of the Heavenly Army. Worse still, the organizer behind this entire affair was the most malicious, wicked monster in existence—a monster that possessed neither mercy nor the capacity for compromise when it came to this game. It was a deadly serious match that could only be described as the worst imaginable nightmare.
The situation had long since escalated beyond anything a mere angel could handle.
Unaware, Ramiel stepped past the point of no return. It marked the precise moment she entered the most dangerous and nuisance of a game conceivable.
