★ Fortress City of Lamoor Affiliated
Kai Heinemann: The protagonist of this story. After receiving the Gift "The Most Incompetent in the World" during his Divine Revelation at the age of thirteen, he was treated with cold contempt by everyone around him. Though originally a kindhearted boy, he was swallowed up by a mysterious dungeon and underwent one hundred thousand years of training. He emerged as a genuine monster utterly devoid of common sense, throwing the world into chaos and uproar.
Lena Grot: Kai's childhood friend, an adorable girl with shoulder-length red hair. After receiving the Sword Saint Gift through her Divine Revelation, the Amelia Kingdom government forced her to relocate to the Royal Capital. She is Rosemary's best friend.
Laila Helner: Kai's childhood friend and the only daughter of the master of a prestigious greatsword dojo in Lamoor. Formerly his fiancée, the arrangement was dissolved shortly after Kai's Gift was revealed to be "The Most Incompetent in the World." A beautiful girl with long, wavy blonde hair.
Roman Heinemann: Kai's cousin, a handsome youth from a branch family. Harboring feelings for Laila, he picked fights with Kai at every possible opportunity. A Spear King Gift Holder.
Keith Steinberg: Kai's childhood friend, a tall boy. A Grand Mage Gift Holder. One of the few people whose attitude toward Kai remained unchanged even after learning his Gift was deemed worthless. Like Lena, the government forced him to live in the Royal Capital.
Riku: A promising talent of the Heinemann sword style. Following the Divine Revelation, he did a complete about-face and began treating Kai harshly.
Shiga: One of the assistant instructors, a hulking man with a shaved head and a cleft chin. After learning Kai was an incompetent Gift Holder, he turned on a dime and gave him the cold shoulder.
Elm Heinemann: Kai's grandfather. A Sword Saint Gift Holder who once fought against the Four Great Demon Kings as a member of the Hero's party.
★ Amelia Kingdom Affiliated
Rosemary Loto Amelia: First Princess of the Amelia Kingdom. A beautiful girl with pink hair. Her younger brother, Gilbert, attempted to sell her out to the Empire, but Kai thwarted the scheme. She requested that Kai serve as her Royal Guard.
Anna: A knight in personal attendance to Rose, whom she has served since childhood. While she berates Kai as an incompetent fool, she also has a softer side, having stepped in to shield him from other knights.
Fracton Salmage: The mastermind behind the plot to hand Rose over to the Empire. Foiled by Kai, he was apprehended and placed under arrest.
Gilbert Loto Amelia: The First Prince. Bitterly opposed to Rose, he hatched the scheme to sell her off to the Empire.
Arnold: The Knight Captain of the Amelia Kingdom. He also serves as the current King's Royal Guard and boasts the greatest martial prowess among all the kingdom's knights. Though originally a trash Gift Holder, he climbed to his current station through sheer unyielding effort. A man of exceptional combat ability and sterling character.
★ Glitnir Empire Affiliated
Zignir Gastrea: One of the Six Knight Generals. A martial genius who inherited the title of Sword Emperor at a young age from his predecessor, Ashburn Gastrea. He was treated like an absolute child by Kai, who had undergone a terrifying metamorphosis inside the labyrinth.
Enz: One of the Six Knight Generals. Bearing the title of Supreme Summoner, he led the Imperial Summoner Corps. Though capable of summoning the Spirit King Ifrit, he was completely overwhelmed by the Girimehkala Kai summoned, ultimately meeting his end when Kai decapitated him.
★ Kai's Direct Kin
Fafnir: A golden divine dragon and Kai's very first kin. Though she takes the form of a young girl in her early teens, her mentality is just as childish. She suffers from severe withdrawal symptoms whenever her Master is away.
Astaroth: The final boss of God's Ordeal (lol). A chickenhearted demon god who surrendered to Kai without ever putting up a fight, becoming his kin instead. His actual strength is supposed to be immense... in theory.
