When it comes to amusement park restaurants, one usually expects stylish looks and exorbitant prices. While the food here was certainly a bit pricier than at an ordinary establishment, it was still quite reasonably priced for an amusement park restaurant.
The dishes served were of remarkably high quality as well, and the platter I had ordered was exceptionally delicious. Aoi-chan and I hadn't ordered dessert, but Hina-chan, of course, had ordered the parfait.
"Ooooh, wow! It's so colorful and looks delicious!"
"With seven colors—or rather, seven layers—I guess it's themed after each area of the amusement park?"
"Judging by the color scheme, that seems likely."
Watching Hina-chan's eyes sparkle at the sight of the massive parfait, Aoi-chan and I voiced our impressions. It was an elegant dessert divided into several distinct layers, with a color palette reminiscent of each zone in the park.
Even so, however... it was enormous. It was hard to believe it was meant for a single person. Would she really be all right? At the very least, I had zero confidence I could finish it by myself.
"...Hina-chan, isn't that size a bit crazy?"
"It's a jumbo-sized parfait! Having something with such a massive visual punch really gets your spirits up just looking at it!"
"N-No, Hina-chan, are you sure you can actually finish all that?"
"I'll be fine! I've eaten even bigger ones all by myself before... Ah, well, the calories are definitely not fine, but I'll make up for that by running a bunch later!"
When I murmured in shock at the sheer scale of it, Hina-chan replied looking thoroughly delighted instead. Aoi-chan, who clearly shared my concerns, asked worriedly, but Hina-chan brushed it off with a bright, cheerful smile.
She didn't seem to be forcing herself at all and genuinely seemed fine, so... when it came to parfaits, I decided to just assume Hina-chan had a second stomach.
"Mmm~ it's so good! The whipped cream is incredibly fine and smooth, and the texture is the absolute best!"
Having promptly dug into the parfait, Hina-chan fell in love with it from the very first bite, wearing an expression of pure culinary bliss.
As I watched her with a fond smile, after a few more bites, Hina-chan turned her gaze toward me and offered her spoon with a grin.
"Here, Kaito-senpai, you try some! It's delicious!"
"Eh? Ah, umm..."
"Come on, don't be shy, have a bite!"
I didn't mind getting a taste, but... there was only one spoon, and the one Hina-chan was currently using to scoop up the parfait and hold out to me was the very one she had been eating with a moment ago.
I wondered if this counted as an indirect kiss, but Hina-chan didn't seem to care in the slightest. Instead, she eagerly urged me on. Between the amusement park and the parfait—two of her favorite things—her excitement was clearly off the charts.
Well, if Hina-chan didn't mind, then it was fine. Thinking that, I leaned in and ate the bite of parfait offered on her spoon.
"Yeah. The texture really is great, and it has a wonderful flavor that just melts away."
"Right?! The quality is amazing! Ah, Aoi-senpai, please have some too!"
"Thank you. I have a teaspoon, so I'll take a little with this."
Aoi-chan and I hadn't ordered dessert, but we had ordered black tea and coffee respectively for after the meal. Since Aoi-chan had ordered black tea, she had a teaspoon and used it to sample the parfait.
Since I had ordered black coffee for my after-meal drink, I didn't have anything like a teaspoon.
"Ehehe, I'll share some more with you once I reach the next layer!"
"Ahaha, thanks. Just don't rush, Hina-chan. Take your time and enjoy it."
"Okay! But it's so tasty that my pace just naturally picks up."
With her cheeks slightly flushed from all the excitement, Hina-chan beamed with a radiant smile, radiating her usual small-animal-like charm.
Even through Sympathy Magic, the pure, unadulterated joy radiating from her was so overwhelming that it made me instinctively want to pat her on the head. Well, patting her head while she was in the middle of eating a parfait would probably just get in the way, so I firmly held back...
"Ah, this layer is a ramune-flavored jelly. Look, look, Kaito-senpai, try some of this too! Here, say aahn~"
"Hm? Ah, thank you."
I accepted the share of the parfait she offered once more. Perhaps because it was already the second time, I ate it without a second thought.
Her excitement was truly at its peak. Wondering if this was what having a little sister felt like, I watched the overjoyed Hina-chan with a warm smile, gladly letting her feed me spoonfuls of her parfait.
