The mysterious rumor of an impending seat change had just escaped Airi’s lips.
"Are you serious, Airi!?"
"Yeah, the girls in the hallway told me!"
A seat change... Man, it felt like forever since I’d last heard those words.
After all, a seat change was what brought the Beautiful Girl Trio and me together in the first place. But based on how Rui sounded before, I thought she’d made it clear there wouldn't be any more of them.
Even though this was a god seat! I could catch a glimpse of Airi’s huge chest from behind her, Yuria’s thick thighs were always right there to my left, and I had a constant view of Rui’s gorgeous figure to my right!!
"...Well, I guess it doesn't really matter since I see them all the time lately anyway."
"Ryouta-kun? It is most certainly not fine. If this happens, won't the whole point be lost?"

The pressure radiating from Rui was mysteriously heavy.

Airi is always begging for Snoto after school, so we always go together anyway. Yuria invites me to her otaku activities constantly, whether it’s a weekday or the weekend. And Rui is always in my room in the morning before I even wake up, even though I didn't even invite her!
"Rui-chan, haven't you heard anything from Sensei?"

Our homeroom teacher was strict about a lot of things, and there hadn't even been plans for a single seat change this year. My daily routine was supposed to be reading 'Opasui' all by myself in the protagonist seat.
We only had that first seat change because of Rui’s suggestion, but she’d insisted we wouldn't be doing it again.

Rui had an awfully serious look on her face as she left.
"Rui-chan really loved this seating arrangement, didn't she?"
"You think so?"
Even if our seats change, it’s not like our friendship will.

"Morning, you two. I just saw Rui sprinting toward the faculty office. Did something happen?"
A little while after we saw Rui off, Yuria arrived at school.
"Oh, Yuria. Well, here's the thing..."
I filled Yuria in on the rumor about the seat change.
"Wait, what?! Seriously? Yamada-sensei actually allowed that??"
"No clue. That's why Rui headed to the faculty office."
"Ah, I see."
Yuria reacted as if it all made sense now.
"Rui really seemed to love her seat. She was always smiling."
Not Yuria too. Why are they so attached to these seats?
"...I mean, I like it too, I guess."
I said, why?!
I kept screaming the retort in my head. Still, Rui and Yuria are surprisingly sentimental, getting so attached to seats just because their friends are nearby.
"Ah! Rui-chan’s back!"
Rui returned, and we guessed everything immediately from the extremely complicated look on her face.
"It’s happening... The seat change."
