On June 20th, Laojun submitted a report.
"My Lord, the guest house is complete."
"That was fast."
"Indeed. Since I promised to have it finished within five days, I ensured we met that deadline. Taihaku gave it his all as well."
Only two days had passed since that promise. Jin wondered just how much effort they had poured into the project.
"I see. Good work."
Jin decided to head out for an inspection immediately. Bringing Reiko, Elsa, and Mine along, they traveled via the Warp Gate. He had invited Mine for a specific reason.
"...This brings back so many memories."
"Yes, it really does."
Since Elsa and Mine had lived here on Kunlun Island for a time, Jin assumed they would find the visit nostalgic.
"Welcome, Master, Elsa-sama, Mine-sama."
Loll, who served as Taihaku’s assistant, was there to greet the party.
"I shall be your guide."
The site was located far south of the Mansion, right along the coast. They traveled by barrier cushion car; with the barrier strength set to a low output, the vehicle glided over the grass without damaging it.
After about fifteen minutes, they reached the shore.
"...Oh, wow."
"It is incredible, isn't it?"
It was little wonder the two women were stunned; looming before them was a structure that could easily have been a resort hotel on modern Earth. The entire building was made of stone in a grayish-white shade nearly as bright as snow. At first glance, it looked like marble, but something about it was different.
"Is this... quartz?"
"No, Master. This is jade."
"What?"
Jin’s knowledge of mineralogy was admittedly shallow. He had always associated jade with the color green, but in reality, colorless jade existed.
Pure jadeite is actually white; it only turns green when trace amounts of iron or chromium are present. Because white jade has little value as a gemstone in many markets, it is often overlooked or discarded.
"The Mermaid unit found an abundance of it on the seabed and handled the mining," Loll explained.
"I-I see."
"Yes. We used the few pieces with a green tint as decorative accents."
In Ars, unlike on modern Earth, jade was not recognized as either a gemstone or even a semi-precious stone. However, Jin was well aware of its true value, and his expression tightened slightly as he considered the sheer worth of the building standing before him. Of course, he lacked the self-awareness to realize he was doing something similar with his own magi-craft every day.
"I suppose jade would be quite durable..."
Among the minerals collectively called jade, they had used jadeite here. Because of its extremely dense structure, it possessed a Mohs hardness of 7—comparable to quartz—yet it was so tough that it wouldn't easily shatter even under a heavy hammer blow. It was also known as hard jade. Incidentally, the mineral nephrite was also commonly referred to as jade or gyoku.
"Alright, let's call it the 'Jade Pavilion'."
"That is a lovely name, Jin-sama."
"Mm. I agree."
Mine and Elsa both approved.
"Please, allow me to show you the interior."
Loll led them inside to begin the tour.
"First, the entrance hall."
"Ohh."
The floor was paved with lavender jade, a refined and elegant shade. The space was remarkably vast.
"The furniture and other appointments will be installed soon."
"Right. Regarding those, Loll, could you consult with Mine? She knows the tastes of this world's nobility better than I do."
This was the second reason he had brought Mine along. She understood the preferences of the aristocracy far better than Jin or his subordinates who relied on his memories.
"Yes, if I can be of service, I will do my absolute best to assist," Mine replied.
"We are counting on you."
Loll continued the tour. The first floor housed the kitchen, waiting rooms, a large public bath, and the dining hall. The guest rooms began on the second floor, which also featured a large conference hall, smaller meeting rooms, and an entertainment lounge. Every guest room was fully equipped with its own toilet and washroom.
The third floor consisted almost entirely of guest rooms, along with designated quarters for maids and servants.
The fourth floor was essentially the VIP level. It was divided into seven sections, each containing six rooms, and every section boasted its own penthouse and shower room.
Each floor featured a central elevator and staircase, with additional staircases located at both the left and right wings of the building. The rooftop was designed to allow up to three Konron 3s to take off and land simultaneously. A formal airfield had also been established elsewhere on the island.
"This is amazing..."
Presumably, the golems had used the concept of a 'resort hotel' from Jin's memories as their blueprint. Jin had never actually stayed in one and only knew them through his own vague imagination, yet the result was exactly as he had envisioned.
"It seems to have a very high capacity. How many people can it hold?"
"Yes. We decided that more space would be preferable to less, so we designed it to accommodate three times the number of expected guests mentioned previously."
While the VIP suites were reserved for heads of state—enough for each nation plus a few extras—the rest of the facility could house about a hundred people when factoring in guards and servants.
"That makes sense. You've done a great job."
Jin praised Laojun, Taihaku, and the others for their foresight.
They used the elevator to move between floors. Much like in old films, the lift was operated by an attendant turning a manual lever—though in this case, the operator was a golem rather than a human.
Finally, they reached the basement. The first basement level served as a warehouse for food and materials. The Warp Gate was also located here. The second basement level housed a sewage treatment facility that sterilized and purified wastewater from the toilets, kitchen, and baths before discharging it into the sea.
Taihaku was the one responsible for overseeing the entire complex.

"Yeah, I'm counting on you, Taihaku."
Thus, a resort hotel that left even Jin in awe had been completed. A lush lawn stretched out in front of the building, and beyond a screen of shrubs lay a sandy beach and the open sea. Since the port was not yet developed, any future docks would likely be built a short distance away.
"What do you think, Master?" Loll asked after the inspection was complete.
"It's excellent work. But I noticed every room followed a Western design."
"Indeed. The building with Japanese-style rooms is located over there."
"Eh?"
Beside the Jade Pavilion was a small, carefully planted grove that served as a windbreak. Loll guided Jin’s group through the trees.
"Ohh!"
"Wow!"
"My goodness!"
There stood a wooden building topped with a tiled roof, surrounded by an unmistakable Japanese garden.
"Welcome, Master. I shall be your guide for this section."
Refa had taken over as the guide for this area, while Loll returned to the Jade Pavilion.
"The grove ensures that this area remains hidden from the main pavilion's view."
"This is incredible..."
The garden spanned an area of roughly a thousand tsubo. It had been constructed using Jin’s memories and the gardens found in Mitsuho as a reference. The building itself occupied about two hundred tsubo; it was primarily a single-story structure, with a second floor added only to one portion.
The garden featured a gazebo, ponds, and flowing streams, with winding paths that allowed guests to stroll through the seasonal blooms.
"I can't believe you built all this in just two days."
"Yes. Five hundred Smiths and forty Daidaras worked day and night without pause to complete it."
"I-I see..."
Jin was as exasperated as he was impressed by the sheer efficiency of Laojun and the others.
"Master, would you please grant this place a name as well?"
At Refa’s earnest request, Jin took a moment to think. When he thought of famous Japanese gardens, names like Kenroku-en or the Shinjuku Gyoen came to mind.
"Hmm..."
He thought of the Five Constant Virtues: Benevolence, Righteousness, Propriety, Wisdom, and Trust.
"Alright. Let's call the garden the 'Garden of Five Virtues' and the building the 'Hall of Five Virtues'."
"Thank you very much."
"Jin-nii, can we see the inside too?"
Elsa, who had a great fondness for tatami rooms, spoke up eagerly.
"Of course."
Following Elsa's lead, Jin stepped inside the Hall of Five Virtues.
