"I wonder..."
◇
Watching Hinako’s retreating back, Shizune sensed her state of mind.
She had likely mustered every ounce of her courage to speak. But as her nerves and embarrassment swelled, she must have found it impossible to stay there any longer.
(The Young Lady might not be so perfect anymore.)
Perhaps her tension hadn't fully dissipated, as Hinako had started walking with her right arm and right leg moving forward at the same time.
Now that Hinako was aware of her own feelings, maintaining the facade of the perfect lady would surely become more difficult than ever.
It was even possible that those around her might start to notice the change.
(And yet... she has become more lovely than ever before.)
Somewhere between the perfect lady and the lazy girl, a maiden in love had emerged.
Because Shizune had spent so much time by Hinako's side, she was certain of it.
The current Hinako was more vibrant than she had ever been—full of emotion and overflowing with a captivating, human charm.
To Shizune, this transformation was a source of joy.
Yet, it was also a seed of anxiety.
"I only hope she doesn't run wild..."
This was another conviction Shizune held from watching over Hinako for all these years.
In all likelihood, Hinako was... clumsy when it came to romance as well.
Suppressing the urge to sigh, Shizune looked toward Itsuki.
If Hinako were to run wild at Kikou Academy, Itsuki would be the only one capable of stopping her.
The boy was likely in for a lot of trouble from now on... in more ways than one.
