Ch. 2586

Amusement Park in the Demon Realm ⑰

The Forest Area captured the atmosphere of being deep inside a massive woodland, but as expected, clever adjustments had been made to tailor it for a theme park.

First, because the trees were so colossal, their foliage was situated very high up, ensuring the forest didn't feel cramped or oppressive despite the density of the woods. Furthermore, just as I’d noticed in the Aqua Area, the layout prioritized clear sightlines. The trees were spaced far enough apart to maintain a sense of openness without losing the feeling of being surrounded by nature.

It was essentially a forest of giants. Since every trunk was massive, the environment felt spacious and easy to traverse for human-sized people like us.

"The atmosphere here is different from both Rigforresia and Yugfressia," Lilia-san remarked. "It isn’t dark, yet the sky is completely hidden."

"According to the pamphlet, there are Elevation Magic Tools installed all over the place," Luna-san replied, scanning the guide. "Much like how the Aqua Area was split between the rocky coast and the sea, this area seems to be divided into two vertical levels: the forest floor and the treetops."

I checked the pamphlet and saw she was right. There were mentions of Elevation Magic Tools, and the attractions had 'Upper' or 'Lower' labels next to their names.

"In that case, maybe we should visit one attraction on the lower level and one on the upper level?" I suggested.

"I agree, Master," Anima said. "If we're aiming for two or three per area, that provides the best balance. The question is which ones to choose... In your world, what kind of attractions are considered standard for a setting like this?"

Hina-chan, Aoi-senpai, and I all fell into deep thought at her question.

"I wonder..." I murmured. "I could see something like a coaster, but..."

"It’s hard to visualize," Hina-chan added. "I mean, I can think of things, but they aren't unique to a forest. They’re just standard theme park rides."

Aoi-senpai nodded. "When I think of attractions involving plants, I usually picture something focused on sightseeing and the scenery..."

Exactly. When I heard 'an area overgrown with trees,' nothing specific immediately jumped to mind. Coasters or Coffee Cups were possibilities, but they didn't feel inherently tied to the Forest Area theme.

Even looking at the pamphlet, it was hard to guess what each attraction entailed. The Aqua Area had been easy to visualize thanks to the lake and the general concept of the ocean, but this was a mystery.

"Actually... let's just cheat."

"Kaito-senpai? What do you mean by 'cheat'?"

Worrying about it wasn't going to lead me to a brilliant answer, so I decided to use a shortcut. If we had more time, I’d suggest wandering around to see what looked interesting, but since we were narrowing our choices for each area, I wanted to hit the main highlights.

I let out a small sigh and held the pamphlet out behind me.

"...So, Alice. Which ones do you recommend?"

"If you're only picking two, then I recommend Forest Castle and Skytree-ssu."

"Alice, you... The Skytree?"

"It’s a perfect name for a tree that towers toward the sky, don't you think?"

"No, you definitely named it that on purpose..."

When in doubt, ask the creator. Alice’s recommendations were Forest Castle and Skytree.

The former was fine. Even if I couldn't guess the content, 'Forest Castle' sounded impressive enough. The problem was the latter. Assuming the name was a mere coincidence was impossible given how much Alice knew about my world. She had undoubtedly named it that as a little inside joke for any Otherworlders.

Naturally, Kuro wouldn't know about the landmark back home, so she had likely just accepted it as a normal name for an attraction and given her approval.

"Anyway, putting the naming issues aside... Skytree is the closest one to our current position."

"Wait, Aoi-senpai, look at this..." Hina-chan pointed to the guide. "Both Skytree and Forest Castle are listed as 'Lower' level. Does that mean neither of them are treetop attractions?"

"It looks that way. Still, I’m sure Alice-sama has a reason for picking them, so I think we should follow her advice."

One way or another, Aoi-senpai and Hina-chan placed a high level of trust in Alice, largely because they bought their equipment from her and frequently received advice for their work as Adventurers.

Personally, I figured that even if they were both on the lower level, Alice wouldn't steer us wrong. Lilia-san and the others didn't have any objections, so we decided to head toward the Skytree first.

Mystery Entity: "Wow~ Alice-chan really does enjoy a high level of trust from everyone-ssu. This must be the fruit of her daily conduct—a reflection of Alice-chan’s purity of heart-ssu."

Serious-senpai: "...No, isn't it just because she’s incredibly devoted when it comes to Kaito? They know she wouldn't pull any pranks in a situation where he’s specifically relying on her for advice."
