Ch. 31

—31— Don’t Screw With Me

"Naturally, I meant my naked body."

She said it so plainly that it took several seconds for my brain to start working again.

"If I told you I wanted to see it... would you really show me?"

"Well, yes... I suppose I would..."

Perhaps she was finally feeling some shame, as Vampire Eudite’s face took on a faint crimson hue.

I, on the other hand, found myself observing the situation with a strange sense of detachment, as if it were happening to someone else.

Two people occupied my thoughts: my Beloved Namia, and Ageha, who had taken her own life.

Because of Namia, I couldn't help but feel a certain resistance to these sorts of advances. Yet, at the same time, I was terrified that rejecting her might lead to another tragedy like the one with Ageha.

I wasn't sure what the right move was.

"Hey, Eudite. Do you remember when we first met?"

"What about it?"

"I have a goal. Revenge."

"Now that you mention it, I believe you did say that."

When we first met, I told her I planned to kill the Villagers. At the time, she had simply called my ambition interesting.

"I don't think our life here is bad," I said.

Despite being trapped in a Dungeon, we weren't exactly hurting for resources. If I had to name a single complaint, it was just that the food tasted awful.

"That's why I'm scared."

"Scared? Of what?"

"I'm afraid that if I keep living this comfortable life, my desire for revenge will just... fade away."

Back when the Bugbears were slaughtering me over and over, I cursed my fate. I loathed the Villagers who had cast me into that hell with every fiber of my being.

But now?

I had grown strong enough to hunt Monsters, and I had a beautiful girl by my side. It was so cozy that if I let myself sink into this lifestyle, I felt like I might forget about my revenge entirely.

"I like you, Eudite. I really do. But I'm sorry. I can't have that kind of relationship with you right now."

This was the only compromise I could offer. The words "I like you" weren't a lie—I truly felt that way about Vampire Eudite. But before I could move forward with anyone, I had to settle my past.

"...I see."

She looked at me with an expression of understanding.

Relief washed over me. It seemed she finally grasped where I was coming from.

"Then we shall finish this once your revenge is complete," she said.

She shifted her weight, looming over me in the bed.

"Nnh..."

Then, she kissed me.

It was a long, deep kiss. Our lips remained pressed together for nearly a minute.

"Please... stop. I won't be able to hold back much longer."

"Personally, I wouldn't mind at all if we went all the way right now."

Eudite's cleavage was right in my line of sight. It was a serious test of my willpower.

"Don't tease me like that."

"So, you are getting excited by the sight of my body."

Eudite leaned down further, pressing her weight into me. I could feel her warmth and the softness of her body against mine.

"I love you, Kiska."

She kissed me again.

Looking into Eudite’s eyes, I knew a switch had been flipped. Even if I wasn't ready, she clearly was. If I didn't resist, she was going to take what she wanted.

I reached up with both hands, trying to push her away.

"Please, stop!" I pleaded.

But her strength was many times greater than mine. My resistance was utterly futile.

"You don't sound very convincing while you're growing so large down here," she whispered with a predatory smile.

Her eyes had become those of a carnivore.

It was no use. At this rate, I was going to lose myself in her—

Schlick.

The sound of a blade slicing through a neck echoed in the room.

In the same instant, a spray of blood painted my face crimson.

"Don't... screw with me!"

It was a third voice.

"Don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me, don't screw with me!!"

A relentless torrent of malice poured out. Every single word was saturated with pure hatred.

"Why was it 'no' for Ageha, but 'yes' for this bitch?!"

The girl screamed, glaring down at Eudite.

"Ageha..."

It was her. Ageha stood right there.

How? She was supposed to be sealed, unable to move.

No, wait. I’d seen her before. When she gave me the Skill Save & Reset, she appeared as a Shadow.

It was the same now. Her outline was sharper than before, almost appearing physical, yet there was still a lingering haziness to her. She looked like a Ghost—something so ethereal that I would have believed it if someone told me she wasn't actually real.

"Kiska, run! She's dangerous!"

Eudite's voice rang out.

I looked down and saw her head lying on the ground, completely severed from her torso. Even so, the head was still talking. It was a terrifying testament to a Vampire's Life Force.

"Shut up!"

Ageha lunged at the severed head, raising a Greatsword high. She brought the blade down again and again, ruthlessly crushing Eudite's skull to ensure she was dead.

In the blink of an eye, the scene had turned into a gruesome nightmare.

I couldn't move. Everything was happening too fast for my brain to process. What was I supposed to do?

"Kiska, I love you," Ageha whispered, turning toward me.

Her eyes were hollow and vacant—a chilling contrast to her declaration of love.

"That's why... I won't let you be with any other woman. Ever."

"Wait—?"

My world suddenly plunged into darkness.

By the time I realized Ageha had thrown a blade at me, my life had already flickered out.
