Ch. 2571

Amusement Park in the Demon Realm ②

After a smooth ride in a carriage so comfortable it hardly swayed, we reached the amusement park. Gathering before the entrance, our group stood in unified, stunned silence as we took in the sight before us.

"...I-It’s so much more authentic than I expected. It’s incredible," Aoi-chan said.

"Right? Just looking at it from here, it seems absolutely massive," Hina-chan added.

I could understand why Aoi-chan and Hina-chan were so taken aback. Truth be told, I was just as shocked. When Shiro-san had first manifested it—and even when I toured it later with Kuro and Alice—it had only felt like the size of an ordinary amusement park.

But what lay before us now was reminiscent of the major theme parks in Chiba or Osaka. Even the entrance area alone was already breathtakingly vast.

"This is quite a facility; the scale is simply immense," Lilia-san remarked.

"Indeed. It’s impossible to grasp the full extent from here, but if the entrance is this huge, the interior must be on a grand scale as well," Luna-san agreed.

"...So there are multiple facilities this large in Kaito-san’s world," Sieg-san noted, her face alive with wonder.

Anima and the others were also discussing the park with looks of great interest.

"Cara, this is a considerable size, wouldn't you say?" Anima asked.

"I can’t see the whole thing from the entrance, but given the land Kuromueina-sama owns here, the scale of this gate, and what I can pick up with a simple Magic Power Detection... I’d say this might be over a kilometer in radius from the center," Caraway replied.

"...Theta, how large was Battle City's Central Colosseum again?" Eta asked.

"I believe the radius was around five hundred meters. If this is even larger than that... then as a single commercial facility in the Demon Realm, it might be the largest in history," Theta concluded.

Megiddo-san’s colosseum in Battle City was legendary for its size, designed specifically for him to cut loose in his ten-meter-plus form. That this park was even larger suggested it was truly gargantuan—potentially bigger than even that famous theme park in Chiba.

"But still, it’s so exciting! At this size, it seems like it'll be hard to see everything in one day, but there must be some amazing attractions! And look, there's even a cute mascot; it feels so authentic!"

Following Hina-chan’s excited gaze toward the entrance, I spotted a cat mascot holding a sign that read "Entrance This Way."

...It had been redesigned so thoroughly that barely a trace of the original remained. Considering it was a cat, I assumed it was originally modeled after the cat kigurumi Alice liked to wear, but it was now undeniably adorable—a far cry from the original’s slightly unsettling design.

Kuro must have heavily supervised this. When we had toured the park previously, there were souvenirs based on Alice’s original suit, but now that they were co-operating the place, I suspected Kuro had ruthlessly vetoed the old look.

"Since this is our first time at an amusement park, we’ll be relying on you and the others to show us the ropes, Kaito-san," Lilia-san said.

"Even for us, this sense of scale is a first. But we can more or less imagine what kind of facilities and attractions to expect, so I think we'll be fine."

As Lilia-san pointed out, the only ones in this group who really knew their way around an amusement park were myself, Aoi-chan, and Hina-chan. Aoi-chan had never actually been to one, but she likely had plenty of secondhand knowledge.

When I glanced toward Lilia-san and Anima’s group, I realized everyone was looking at me. Even Aoi-chan and Hina-chan were waiting for my lead. It looked like I was the one in charge of this outing.

"...For now, let's go take care of the admission procedures. If possible, I’d like to find a guide map or a pamphlet..."

It was rare for me to be the one taking charge instead of Lilia-san when we all went out together, but given the setting, it was somewhat unavoidable.

That said, the layout and scale were so different from when I had visited with Shiro-san, Kuro, or Alice that I really needed a map to figure out our route.

"...Wait, I’m being silly. The person who built it is standing right here."

"Eh? Oh, you need me for something? Here, pamphlets for everyone."

Alice had apparently anticipated the request, as she immediately pulled out enough pamphlets for the whole group and handed them over.

"Thanks... I just want to ask one thing. What is this ridiculous-looking facility I see here called 'Baby Castella Castle'?"

"That’s a place a certain Baby Castella Idiot pushed through to build. we collaborated on most of the facilities and attractions, but we agreed to each build one facility based entirely on our own hobbies without interference from the other. That’s Kuro-san’s."

"...I see. I figured as much."

It was the work of the Baby Castella Devil, after all. In fact, I would have been worried if it wasn't. But wait... if they both got a "hobby" project, that meant Alice had built something too. Knowing her tastes, I had a sinking feeling she’d created some incredibly cheesy romance-themed attraction.

Serious-senpai: "She’s a self-proclaimed romance bottom-tier, but she really does love romantic vibes and cheesy romance events..."

???: "Watch your mouth, Pseudo-Serious... or I’ll cook you and feed you to Machina."

Serious-senpai: "I’m not making fun of her! I’m just stating the facts we’ve established! I’m not insulting her at all!"
