Anju-onee-chan was right in the middle of her visit, yet for some reason, even Rui had shown up at my house... I mean, seriously, why!?
When I opened the front door, there stood Rui.
I hadn’t heard a single word about her coming over...
"Oh, Hiyori-sensei, were you here?"
Rui glanced at Hiyori-sensei, who was standing behind me, and spoke with a smile. Hiyori-sensei returned the look with an identical grin.
"And what brings Student Council President Kuroki to Ryouta-kun’s house in the middle of a weekend afternoon? You two aren’t in that kind of relationship, are you?"
"Fufu... I wonder."
Rui slipped past me, stepping into the house as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
"Hey, Rui, what are you doing at my place on a day off?"
"Huh? We talked about it on LIME, didn't we? About meeting at Ryouta-kun’s house to discuss where to go for the School Trip."
"S-School Trip!? At my house!?"
This was way too sudden. In fact, I didn't even remember having a conversation like that on LIME... Wait.
Hold on. I had a vague recollection of something being discussed in the group LIME with the Beautiful Girl Trio—and Tanaka, for the record.
I usually just marked the messages from the Beautiful Girl Trio as read without actually looking at them. As a loner, I knew all too well that it was better not to clumsily butt into their conversations.
"The other two will be here soon, too."
"How did it even come to this!?"
This was bad. Very bad. I’d been convinced I was finally going to get a room date alone with Anju-onee-chan—purely based on my own ulterior motives, of course.
"Wait, by 'the other two,' you mean Airi and Yuria, right? What about Tanaka?"
"Tanaka-san might not be going to Kyoto, so she said she wasn't coming."
"I figured! But wait, aren't the School Trip destinations being announced next week? I don't remember choosing Kyoto as my first choice, so today—"
"It's fine. You're going to Kyoto too, Ryouta-kun."
Where was she getting that confidence from!?
I mean, if Airi and Yuria were on their way, this place was about to get seriously crowded. I really didn't remember that conversation in the group LIME, though... I’d have to check it later.
"Ryouta-kun, if you’re going to talk about the School Trip now, should I stay in the living room?"
"Eh, no..."
My precious room date with Anju-onee-chan was... gah.
Sure, she was a teacher, and it wasn't like I had been planning anything weird—a total lie.
Ultimately, Hiyori-sensei headed back to the living room. I’d been hoping to hear all sorts of stories about the past from her... Sigh.
"Ryouta-kun, did you really think I’d just sit back and do nothing?"
"W-What are you talking about?"
"...Fufu, I see right through you."
I’m asking what you mean by that!?!?
With that thought screaming in my head, I welcomed Rui into my room and waited for the other two to arrive.
